Schlage Connect has worked very well. Rboy handlers and apps are also good. We have eight of the Schlages in two homes. Had one go bad and Schlage immediately sent a replacement out. I also like they have keys just in case the battery goes bad or something fails. They're also highly rated against picking, etc.

I personally like the kwikset zwave smart locks. With great, connect to ST, and can be managed with the smart locks smart app. Very happy with them

I think they have models 914 and 910

I have the Schlage connect. Great so far. Smart lock with programmable codes and a physical key.

I've got 2 schlage connects now and they have worked flawless.

I have the Candyhouse Sesame. The great thing about this lock is absolutely no modifications to your existing deadbolt or door. None! It slips over your deadbolt and you're done installing it. Not even 2 second install time. With the WiFi module, it is compatible with Alexa.

Another Schlage Connect fan. We have two that work really well.

I love my Schlage connect. It has performed flawlessly for the last year and a half. It has extra physical security features and alarms for tamper, forced entry and open/close. The integration with ST has been perfect. I setup multiple codes for the family, temporary codes for guests. And the batteries last a long time.

Schlage connect is awesome! It has worked flawlessly for us. The auto lock is awesome as my son keeps forgetting to lock the door. It is also a very durable smart lock AND they have a the highest grade for electronic security and deadbolt security (if you install the additional deadbolt security plate)

I love the danalock. It looks like normal lock from outside, has a key override, fits most locks, including multipoint withers the exception of a lift lever variant, reliable, great functionality, Alexa compatible, smartthings integration. Cracking bit of kit

My schlage doesn't always notify the hub off unlock events.

Most of these comments are no use as OP is in the UK. Your only options for multipoint are Conexis, Danalock, Ultion or Nuki.
by (240 points)
I’ve got Conexis myself. If you use one of the others, you ideally want a slamlock multipoint fitted, then you don’t have to lift the handle up.

Ultion is basically danalock but better support for UK. Nuki I’ve not heard reviews of really. I’d probably go Ultion.

Schlage Connect. I'm on my second in 5 years (we changed the exterior of our house and wanted a different color) and they both worked flawlessly.

I like my Kwikset 910 Z-Wave locks. They're super easy to rekey for having a spare key, they last a long time and battery life is good.

Having had both the Kwikset 914 z-Wave and Schlage Connect I recommend the Schlage. An additional must have is RBoy Lock User Management app.

Guys, the original poster is in the UK, so cannot use any of the locks you are all recommending.

To my knowledge, only the connexis L1 is BSI certified. ie the only one that won't invalidate your home insurance
by (200 points)
@immortalize in what way? The lock receivers will need to be 100% lined up, any friction will cause the lock to not want to operate properly Likewise when fitting you have to get everything exactly lined up.
by (200 points)
@immortalize geofence through which app/hub? I'd reset the lock to factory and relink the zwave to hub. Battery use will be low quality/wrong type of battery or constant polling of zwave. If you're reading the battery level through smarthings hub. the new app is bad at returning true readings Failing all that. ring them up, I had one fail and they just sent me a replacement with no quibbles
by (200 points)
@immortalize life360 is flakey at best (function is affected by hidden power saving options in the phone. varying from model to model) You'd might find it better to geofence by wifi or even bluetooth
by (200 points)
Life360 will trigger (assuming your power settings keep the app alive and polling GPS in the background) location on GPS. the accuracy of gps varies depending on satellites seen at the time. that could be accurate to a couple of metres or many tens of metres at any given time. Wifi or BT triggering would require a different app. notably one such as tasker (not that simple to set up but very powerful app) or IFTTT (much simpler and "native" to smart things for example. but processed on cloud rather than locally) Wifi will be "accurate" to as far as your signal reaches. BT to a maximum of 10m to whichever sensor switch you use (Google home have bt in if you use them) It's not really possible to say which and what will work best or even at all without knowing your home, devices and where signals will reach But using life360 for geofence will likely always give problems as you describe

Kwikset 914. Fave

Earlier today, I removed a Kwikset SmartCode 916 that I had installed back in October of last year and replaced it with a Schlage BE469ZP. With the Kwikset, I would get "door jammed" errors literally daily even though there was nothing that I could tell was causing those errors. Mechanism was working fine, batteries were replaced, etc. I had also installed the same Schlage in November and didn't have any problems unlike the Kwikset. Plus the kids and wife didn't like the Kwikset; they said it was too slow to respond and the beeps were annoying.

What ever. Get a glass front. Easy clean and the buttons won’t tell on you.

I've been using the Danalock V3 with Z-wave paired with ST for almost two years now and never had any problems with it. My two cents.

Don't buy kwikset. I have 2 of them. On one of them the electronics went bad, but Kwikset doesn't have lifetime warranty on the electronics, only on the mechanism. Batteries die pretty quickly in them too.
by (110 points)
Never had trouble with Kwikset. And using Ultimate Lithium increased battery life from a month with CopperTops to about 11 months.

I have the kwikset Obsidian. Integrates very well with ST, and code management has been a breeze.

I use a August Pro lock which is automated to lock when I leave and unlock when I get back home. It works perfectly. Best investment I made.

I use the Schlage smart locks + RBoy device handlers and SmartApps and find they work really well.
by (110 points)
@palmerpalmerston this. perfect combination
by (110 points)
@palmerpalmerston Wish I could say that in regards to the FE599, the Schlage handleset. I have the deadbolt 469 in one house that works fabulous, but the handleset in my rental never notifies when a code is used. RBoy app is excellent tho. Moving the v3 hub around and going to use an Aero repeater to get the notifications moving. Very frustrating.
