Is anyone using a motion detector with Alexa and no hub? I’m not sure one exists, if so what is it, please? Currently using Insteon as office alarm system and just lost my 2nd hub in the last couple of years and don’t plan on going back with Insteon due to complexity and when I lose the hub, it keeps my email tied up and I have to make new ones. I would like to use a motion detector, and smart switch with Alexa to trigger the alarm and avoid an extra hub if possible. Thanks in advance

So you want a motion sensor compatible with Alexa? That's like a 5 second Google search Are you using an Echo Show or Echo Plus with integrated Zigbee coordinator or are you going to use a wifi sensor?

Echo dot? That eliminates any Zigbee sensors. Ring. The Ring Alarm kit?

If you don't want to use a 3rd party hub/bridge like Samsung SmartThings, Philips Hue, etc then get the Echo Plus or Show with built-in Zigbee hub

You need a device that can trigger an Alexa Routine. it must support the Contact and Motion Sensor API . The API is currently limited to Zigbee-compatible contact and motion sensors from Sylvania and Centralite. there are echo versions wirh zigbee.
The SmartThings Group is where you can always find questions, answers, advice, reviews & recommendations from other community members about home automation with the Samsung SmartThings hub.
