Just bought a new GE washer dryer set with WiFi capabilities. Trying to figure out how to have Alexa announce when cycles finish on machine. Any ideas?

I use a vibration sensor and Home Assistant, but you probably don’t need the extra sensor

@truant doesn’t look like they have an open API according to that thread I linked.

Mine flashes the hue lights through IFTTT.

Is there an Alexa skill for GE?

Yes but it only responds to questions such as how much drying time is left.

I use IFTTT to trigger a wink robot chime on when the washer or dryer cycle ends but I'm not sure if you have either wink or the wink chime.

AFAIK, The Alexa platform doesn’t really allow voice announcements/notifications. Wish it did.

I get a notification on my Android phone from the app. Maybe there's a way to have my phone alert Alexa ?
