Anyone have a good rule set or SmartApp for randomly turning off and on lights in the house at night to make it look occupied while on vacation? I moved to SmartThings from an HAI panel that had this function.

Yep ^^^^, and whether ya go old school with Vacation Lightning Director, or use webCoRE or Alexa Guard for the lights, you can also add in. Echo Speaks To have Alexa (either scheduled, or randomly, or as triggered by other things) play music, or sounds of all sorts. Harmony To make the tv come on and play a show or something. Ring To react to motion at front door by having webCoRE send a command to an Echo Speaks Alexa device to play a randomly chosen dog barking sound (and if you have multiple Alexas throughout the house, you can create an automation that will cause the dog to bark on different ones, progressively moving through the house, as if the dog is moving from the back of the house toward the front door). There are so many cool things that can be done.

Tell Alexa to turn on guard mode when you leave.

Also using Alexa guard mode. Used to use a custom smart app called “Vacation Light Director”.

I went 100% old school. I created a diff scene for each night and set it up in the same way I would walk from my bedroom through the living room and into the kitchen and then back again. And the program the lights to turn off again in reverse order. The path is diff every night and when I want to throw in a exception, just turn the bedroom light on and then off again a few mins later. It’s easy to make them play anytime you want.
