Has anything changed in regards to having multiple hubs in a house (for coverage needs) and having rules and automatons work across those different hubs? In the past I couldn't have a motion sensor near the "shop hub" trigger an event on the "main house hub" for example. My attempt to "hop" my z-wave network to the guest house, and then to my shop isn't working as well as I would hope. It works well for a week, then loses connection, and isn't consistent at all.

@betthezel yea sorry. I don’t use 2 hubs, but I do have another in the drawer. I remember the post, as I was going to go back to it myself and give it a try.

@hokkaido just ordered one on Amazon (no store within 20 miles has one) and I'll give it a try tomorrow.

Got it. Assuming it doesn't matter if you mix and match Gen 2 and Gen 3?

I am running 5 hubs in Smartthings mesh network, works very well.

These are wifi hubs, not the regular zwave/zigbee ones. You can only have one of those.

How many devices do you have? I'm getting by with 100+ devices across ~3, 000 sq/ft and a detached garage. You need to work on building out a proper mesh for signal repeating. A second hub is really only needed when you have exceed the device threshold.

@parcenary894 it's a distance issue. Hop to the guest house is about 80' and I have a switch at the closest locations I can to make that hop. The shop is another 60' hop from the guest house. That hop to the guest house is weak and inconsistent.
