Hey, i have 2x westinghouse bendan ceiling fans in my home currently with IR control units installed , my only 2 lights that arnt very smart Is there any solution to get these linked to smartthings ? Any zigbee or z wave modules that i could replace the IR with? Currently i have it setup with a broadlink IR but because its 1 way and cant report state its a awful setup and smart things wont run a command if it thinks its already in that state eg if ST thinks its off but its on , it wont trigger the off command etc. I see westinghouse does a RF module which i can also control from the broadlink pro, but not sure if i would have the same problem? I have considered fibaro at the switch but would like to control the fan aswell if possible and that would only do the light

You could wait for the Galaxy Home Mini. It’s supposedly coming soon and has an IR blaster that adds devices to SmartThings.

Ah, yes. Sorry, didn’t read all they way  Do you have separate wall switches for the light kit and fan?

Single switch on wall basically power on and off , light comes on automaticall when powered on, fan has to be turned on by the IR remote currently

@pachton8 so you have two options: Hampton bay makes a zigbee version of the canopy module that a custom SmartThings integration exists. Inovelli has a zwave module coming out that also replaces the canopy module.

@crabstick4604 theres this which is a official RF module , i can connect that to ST using the broadlink pro but not sure if it would be 2-way or if i will have same issue as IR, any idea? .

Doh! UK would have been good to know. I’m not familiar with anything for the UK.
