Question

Can anyone suggest a reliable door/window sensor that is compatible with SmartThings? I'm using wyze sensors right now and they are not very reliable. I'm seeing a ton of mixed reviews online as well regarding which to buy. My plan is to setup a routine with Alexa so whenever the door is opened or closed Alexa will make a noise.

Wow! . totally different experience for me. I had two on windows and they would really chew through batteries. I replace them with Samsung multi-sensors and they last a lot longer between battery changes.

I use SmartThings multipurpose and run triggers off of Alexa. There are very expensive in the UK so after a good alternative like yourself. I’m currently looking at Aquara as a brand which I’ve read to be reliable but much harder to order in the Uk cheaply

@quimper I have my wyze door sensors setup with Alexa so it announces the name of the door that is being opened. I get a good second or two delay as well (when it works).

I use the Iris 3320-L door and window sensor. They are very reliable and long battery life. Unfortunately that are difficult to find.

I have a combination of the Samsung multi-sensors and the monoprice sensors. Both work well. The Samsung sensors give more information. Temp & vibration.
