Options for BR30 color bulbs? I have six bulbs in my kids playroom I'd like to add color bulbs to. I am currently running Caseta/Alexa/ST all over the home, so I need it to integrate into my system. I know HUE is the leader, but confused as to when a hub is needed and when not? Also, there are knockoffs out there, much cheaper, but do they play well w/ Alexa/ST and the Lutron Aurora dimmer (which appears to be the best knob for these setups). Thanks!

I also have and rexommend the Sylvania bulbs. Haven't had any issues with them and they go on sale. Occasionally.

@deceit66750 id like my kids to be able to control the bulbs, and they don’t have phones. Does Sylvania have the remote control/button options like Hue?

@narcolepsy not that I've seen UT you could always set up a cheap tablet as a wall control unit. I've seen lots of people do this.

@deceit66750 I’m considering putting a kindle in their playroom

@narcolepsy I've seen a lot of people on ST forums talking about that and you can get great deals on them too I believe. You could also do an Alexa and they could change lights that wya as well. I've just set someone up this way yesterday.

@deceit66750 thanks I have Kindle/Action Times all over the home, nice to have! Are you saying Alexa can change the color of the lights too?

@narcolepsy yup! We were able to make it work yesterday with some Lohas bulbs. Pretty cool!

In the app you will see 6 individual bulbs. I group mine in the Alexa app and use voice to turn them all on/off, color, brightness together. I also have a Samsung smart button i use for a "light switch". You can get a smart app within smartthings that will mirror the behavior of 1 bulb. I've used color coordinator before. Honestly i don't use the app much.

I have one Sengled BR30 color bulb and a few whites that I’m happy with. They’re Zigbee. I actually have them hooked up to Hubitat, not my ST hub, which is at a different location, but it should be the same. I set them up in Hubitat and control them with Alexa.

Anyone know if I can use the Lutron Aurora switch with Sylvania bulbs?

You can't - only works with Hue

@narcolepsy with a switch? You could try a motion sensor.

You could also use a ST button on the wall.
