Anyone got this receiver successfully integrated with ST?

All I know is that so far with denon theres is nothing but problems. I have a 4400, a 730, a heos 7 and a sound bar and nothing but problems. hdmi output failed. on my 730 last week, I contacted service at denon and so far no answer. Sound is not bad, when it work :)

@hague I gave up trying to integrate denon heos stuff with my smartthings a while ago. Lately, when my receiver stopped working and I have no answer from denon, I consider getting rid of all their stuff and buying more reliable/solid products.

I’ve got an older Yamaha that the IR died on, planning on removing it and replacing with a late 70s Pioneer, with a Sonoff for power and a Linksprite to control the speaker output. All will be in ST now, rather than Harmony

Yamaha with NET, can be controlled directly from ST. But I guess yours is to old.

@rosetta mine is too old for that, but the one I had worked great with Harmony until the IR sensor went bad. EQ died also, just slowly dying

My Denon has built in Alexa. Connected to ST via harmony hub.

What are you trying to do that you cant do with a harmony hub and ST?

@moulin9 For me it was the inability for Harmony to run two activities as once. If someone is using a harmony activity to watch tv with the receiver you can’t also use the harmony to operate zone 2 effectively

@bootlace The best way I've found to control IR devices is with the SwitchBot IR hub and IFTTT. Used to use Harmony myself, but had the same issue you're talking about.

@moulin9 The most commonly used thing will be muting the receiver (or maybe just changing the volume to a much lower level) when there is no motion in the room for 20 minutes and then unmuting/returning to full volume when motion occurs again.

I would like to do the same thing in my kitchen but the receiver is not integrated with ST and I couldn't find a way to do it with harmony and webcore

@hague I believe there is a harmony triggers app in the marketplace. I do it through alexa as far as mute and turn volume up/down. create virtual switches and use web core to link your routines of if Sensor A shows no motion for X time execute switch to mute, etc. seems easier just to tell Alexa to mute as I walk out of a room. I just see too many issues with using motion sensor for something like this so I cant say I have done it, but sounds like it should be easy enough

I use a Harmony Hub for my Denon.

I have one of these and 4 HEOS amps also. Works very well using the Generic DNLA Smart App. Detects all the devices and lets me control most things I need.
