Question

Amazon deal to day is for Meross smart home products. Does anyone have any experience with them? I'm looking for a garage door opener that can be open/closed by the app and give notices if the door is left open for a long time. Thanks

I use their WiFi opener and love it. Works great, low cost, integrates with ST and or Alexa. No real negatives at this point.

@poppycock if you’re doors are already Wifi ( chamberline ) will this hook up to it to connect it to ST ?

No idea. I a dumb opener I made smart. If you can see the wires and it passes their compatibility test I would assume so

@poppycock can you automate opening your meross opener in SmartThings? Last I checked you can only automate closing with the cloud based openers.

I have the garage opener from Meross and it's great. It also integrates with IFTTT, to open or close. I've then used this to allow me to control it within SmartThings (using a virtual switch that triggers IFTTT to open when it's switched on, and to close when it's switched off). I also integrated it with Siri using webhooks so I can just say 'Hey Siri, Open Garage' from Carplay in my car when I arrive home. Fab for about £30
