I installed Homebridge last night on a Linux VM and now have my ST hub and Siri chatting with each other, however, I figured out today that it only works on my local home network.

I installed Homebridge last night on a Linux VM and now have my ST hub and Siri chatting with each other, however, I figured out today that it only works on my local home network. Am I reading the interwebs correctly that in order to have "remote access" I must have either an iPad or ATV? This seems silly, but then again. very Apple.

That is correct, and it has to be a certain generation, I can’t remember which ones
