Am does anyone here have an August lock? I have an August lock with the August connect hub but realized I can use the smartthings hub. Is it better to use the smartthings hub with the lock than the connect?

As far as I know, there is NO remote functionality available WITHOUT using August Connect, despite being connected to Smartthings. (unless I'm missing something, which is entirely possible.

I’m pretty certain that you need the connect, but I love my August lock  Would (and do) recommend to others.

The Smart Lock Pro has Z-Wave, you should be able to pair the lock and hub without the Connect Wi-Fi bridge.
