@pleinair sunrise and sunset values are automatically calculated every day. set it to turn on based on time then off at sunrise, plus or minus whatever time you want to ensure its light enough. or buy a illumenece sensor to ensure the level of light is adequate This was why I started smart home automation. front porch lights never turned on or left on all day. been using this automation for years now

I started turning on the lights at Sunset and off at sunrise but I would get a notification that there was motion. Now I turn on my outside lights 30 minutes BEFORE sunset and turn them off 30 AFTER sunrise. That might seem odd but by turning them on early and turning them off late my security camera doesn't register those events as motion anymore.

My indoor lights come on with Good Morning. However afterwards, I use a sensor to have them turn off when it reaches a certain illumination. Not sure if that's any help.

I have an Aeon motion sensor that detects illumination but I’ve never seen that field populate in SmartThings. Anyone else see it in ST?
