Looks like it uses an overpriced Motion hub. Is that my only option? Hub is like $259

Ikea has the only somewhat reasonably priced smart shade. You can buy them online now as well.

My problem as well. There are plenty of videos on how to cut them, but I have so many windows that I don't want to bother. I went with cheap HD top-down bottom-up cellular shades instead.

The ones I mentioned on blinds. c are not priced bad. Only $79 more for the motorized option. It’s the hub that kills it at $260. Not a huge deal if your doing a lot of windows but I’m only looking to do one at this time.

If I was just doing a few, I'd go Ikea and outside mount them.

The IKEA site says "The blind cannot be cut. "

The Ikea Fyrtur blinds are not designed or intended to be cut to length. However it can be done with care, if you are DIY capable, as shown by several YouTube videos.

You can use an Aotec shutter controller if the blind has a 4 core cable from it.
