Until recently, I was using the PetNet feeder. It worked with Alexa/G-home and with ST via IFTTT. Unfortunately, the company went under due to covid and their servers went inactive, making it almost a brick. We started an FB group for owners and DIY folks to try an figure out a work around if you’re interested.

What kind of pet? I have a Super Feeder for one cat. It’s absolutely amazing. Problem is that it’s not smart. and that is why it’s so great. when it comes to feeding, it’s bullet proof. It feeds for a predefined amount of time when electricity is provided. I made it smart by using a normal SmartThings plug. but I’m sure you could cut the plug and use anything else that controls a relay.

@olsen60131 what does the plug do?

@gereron just saying it plugs in to a normal outlet. But when you plug it in, it feeds. Once. They company suggests you plug it into something like a light timer so that it triggers a couple times a day. I plug mine in to a smart outlet. I’m saying you could cut off the plug and have bare wires to do what you want with. Like a smart relay or something.

@olsen60131 I did not know that. It'll keep feeding as long as it has power?

How much food does it hold?

@gereron it will feed for a preset time when power is applied. For my cat. it feeds for about 5 seconds. Then won’t feed again until power is applied again.

It holds a quart out of the box. but you can add 2-cup extensions.

I didn't realize wifi plugs or what not can be set for seconds

@gereron the feeder feeds for seconds. If you give it electricity for one hour it only feeds for the first x seconds. I have the WiFi plug turn on for 5 minutes at breakfast, and 5 minutes for dinner. The feeder only feeds the first five seconds that it’s on.
