Question

I have saved up all last year and paid for a holiday in January to Spain beginning of May, has anyone elses travel agent been in touch for cancelation procedures?

They are mostly prioritising those travelling in the next 2 weeks. I'm sure you will hear but it will be closer to your departure date.

@rodenhouse548 Im rather concerned about going over now to be honest. happy to go when this virus thing settles down . but due to work and other holiday commitements i wont be able to go till next year 2021 xx

I was due to go tomorrow and only got my voucher a few days ago. They are working their way through a very long list of people I imagine

It is all getting done in strict date order. They will only deal with people travelling in next 2 weeks.

I work in travel beleive its been a night mare they are asking people not to call unless they are travelling in next 2 weeks either as there are so many people to sort out but there are still selfish people that are not travelling fir a few months blocking up phone libes making hard for people who are travelling next week to get through.

@unalterable7025 yeh i dont want to ring yet was just asking if anyone from any travel agents had heard anything about May travel dates. I need to travel by trains (×3) to get to the airport aswell and book in advance for the cheap tickets(costs a fortune on 1 wage on the day travel) . X

@delp5263 Im going on the 9th of May but i also have to travel by trains (×3) to the airport aswell which i also need to book (cheaper in advance) unsure about if they are running etc aswell. Xx

We had a email @aggiornamento2 asking if we wanted to cancel at £30 per person took the risk of waiting to make final payment I don't think many people will be going abroad this year

@mariannamarianne rejected the cancellation fee and made the last payment. Only last week so will wait and see

We were suppose to be going to turkey on 29th April with jet2. They cancelled everything and we were offered vouchers or amendment, but choose to have a full refund as I have a feeling they may go bust after all this. I hope they don’t but who knows

@exogamy I was supposed to be going to Menorca on Sunday, i had an email just over a week ago telling me they'd contact me before we're due to fly to sort out what I want to do so it may be a few weeks before you get any communication.

Keep in contact with who u have booked with lots off holidays have been canceled in the last couple off weeks back log will be long good luck if u get a chance 2 rebook i would probs go for next year and if thing sort out by then maybe a uk holiday this virus is here for a few months even 6:))

@taylor9850 i agree i wouldn't go this year now especially me & my husband have received letters from GOV for a 12 week lockdown best to be safe than sorry

We were supposed to go to Tenerife on the 14 th March with Jet 2. Had a text saying we will get a refund but heard nothing since. Anybody know when we will get it?

No meant be going Tenerife on 9 th may with jet2. Heard there working on a weekly basis. So just have to wait,

We were due to go to Tenerife on 31st March with VillaPlus, got an email yesterday saying we will get a full refund. Not planning on booking anything until next January just in case.

Was supposed to be going to Spain tomorrow with jet 2 travel agents got in touch 2wks b4 and got a full refund. Refund takes 7-10 working days.

This is not for you personally, but people in the uk need to start taking it serious and stay indoors at the moment. We are not on full lockdown here in Spain for 15 days already with another 15 minimum to go for people coming from other countries that haven't been isolating and might well bring the virus back in when we are allowed out again. We all need our lives back so the sooner people start to isolate the better

We heard nothing regarding ours for may -june think must be dealing firstly with ones who due to fly soon , think they must inundated with calls and emails with everyone panicking, if anyone hears from who booked with regarding may an June hols can they update this site and others they are on regarding holidays x
