@chintz do you have a big family or do you like fancy hols? lol Or multiple holidays? Amazing. Travelling is good for you though and making so many memories. X
by (1.6k points)
@clone one luxury holiday usually costs around 3 - 4k for me and him, Tenerife costs around 1k and rest is spent on us flying to Spain every 4 weeks, our kids are grown now, so the world is our oyster lol
by (300 points)
@chintz sounds good. Don't blame you. I hope to be able to have that life style one day. I have a 5 year old so it's a long way off for me haha I have a caravan that me and my little boy (used to) go to once a month plus a few UK weekends away and every other year we have an overseas holiday.
by (1.6k points)
@clone it's looking forward to my travels that keep me sane, we used to as a family when kids were younger have one holiday abroad, always paid over the odds too during school holidays, now we can go at any time and always go on the cheapest dates available, so much easier and cheaper when your not having to pay for kids or stick to school holidays lol

We try to keep it under 1k a year either camping or sun holidays. We're wanting to go abroad next summer but for 4 of us it's just too expensive

@disbelieve489 thank you for posting the pics it looks beautiful. My daughter is 27 so looking for more of a grown up hotel not where there are a lot of English families as found it gets so busy

@ahlers8 that’s why I chose this my boys have additional needs it was great the only down fall Spainish families sleep in 1 room that’s a family room but they were quite small so we had 2 double beds pushed together but not a biggi but great food so high standards the spainish are clearly hard to please the food was so varied and fresh and lovely iv never see such a choice
by (1.7k points)
@disbelieve489 sounds perfect. It was ok when my girls were young but my youngest is 27 so want more of a grown up hotel go more for it being spotless, good food and to relax but places to see and go for walks.
by (680 points)

It really depends. We go abroad once a year for 2 weeks and we have a touring caravan stored down on the boarders of @dissipation and Cornwall so we go down there a couple of times a year too. It's been lovely and cheap this year

I dread to think lol. It really depends where we're going. If its wdw Florida then can be around 10k for the one holiday for 4 people. Then on the other hand we can spend £70 on a sun holiday

Last year for me (per person prices, holidays abroad were for 2 people, holidays in UK were 3 people and 2 dogs) was Jan: Lanzarote(5nights AI) £450 Feb: Disneyland Paris(3nights) - £450, Apr: Tenerife(7nights AI) £330, May: Somerset(3nights) £33, Tunisia(7 nights AI) £340, Jul/Aug: USA(18 nights) £1400ish, Norfolk(7nights) £270, Oct: Majorca(4nights AI) £300 So about £3600 per person for flights and hotel then adding on spending money for non All Inclusive hotels. This year will be significantly less

If we go on one usually 5-6k but that includes everything flights, food, gifts and our buys there but excludes accommodation as we usually go to families homes abroad. If we go somewhere to include accommodation we could easily add another 1k onto that There’s 5 of us

Normally I try for 600/700 all inclusive for 2 weeks and 300/400 for 1 week bed and breakfast per person, but I'm a massive cheapskate so I will shop around till I get the bargain I want
