yes thank you for responding. I’m staying in Downpatrick for 3/4 nights over Christmas Day, Boxing Day etc but I have 2 nights either side free and I’m looking for some hints on where to go. I’ve been to Newcastle but obviously it’s too cold for there at that time of year x

Hi just like @
aggiornamento2
said waterproofs and warm clothes and the country is your oyster lol. Lots of beautiful walks. montalto estate, streamville farm in dundonald (not too far from Downpatrick) would be fab for the kiddies, theres a leisure centre in Ards (newtownards. not far from DP)called blair mayne that has a splash pool for kids, or just outside Belfast in Lisburn is a fantastic swimmers with slides etc that cater all ages. Botanic gardens is lovely in belfast city and the Ulster museum. maybe look up pantomimes that are on too x

Depends if covid rules are still in place if you intend staying in a hotel or if hotels decide to even open for Christmas with current restrictions
