Also everyone keeps asking what my goal weight is and I am just not sure? I am 5'6 with a medium frame and over 40 years old, what do y'all think is a healthy weight? I know there are statistics and charts however I was wondering what y'all thoughts were. Thanks

160 lbs is a reasonable weight for your height and age, my doctor advised me.

I waited until I felt I was near a size I was happy with and then set my goal. For me, at 5’6, age 61, it is 150.

Do what makes you fell good. I was at a weight that I liked and felt good, and all my friend keep telling me I was to thin. Well I stopped watch and put the weight back on over the years. When you get older it is harder to lose. Now back on the program. With my ago I am sure I will not get to the weight I was before so just trying to get in the middle of the range now.

Be careful not to let life become a numbers game. You know when you feel your best. If you lose too much, you might be able to tell by the way you feel. People really need to speak with a medical professional about many of the questions they ask on this page. Most of us are not medical professionals and, although we all know the basic rules, when it comes down to it, very specific issues about which one is very serious should be discussed/emailed/phoned/etc. with one's doctor. One wouldn't take their car to a plumber to get it fixed.

@numskull thank you. I definetly know we're not medical professionals and yes we should listen to our bodies. Thank you

I’m 5’6” and 67. My original goal was 150 which is what I weighed most of my adult life. But as I’ve started losing I’m going to re-evaluate at 160. All depends on how you feel

WW can help with the goal number. I spoke w my doctor. Everyone is in ur shoes now and then. Stay after a meeting as a newbie. Get the refresh that way. I’ve done it and it works. Decide on “Your Why”.

You look great, you should ask your Dr to set the goal for you. I did and She picked a goal based on me!
