Just noticed 1/2 cup of dry oatmeal is 4 points and a cooked cup is 5 points. It surprised me, since I make it with water. Anyone know why? On the plan.

I have no idea , but I eat that almost every morning and I take it as 4 points still. I add cinnamon and a banana or apple to mine

Did you put it in the recipe builder? I bet the 5 points is made with milk.

Does it expand or shrink? I don’t eat oatmeal. The same piece of say 5 point beef will weigh 4 ounces raw and 3 ounces cooked yet both are the same amount of points

shouldn’t matter if it expands if you start with 1/2 cup I would think.

I always measure it uncooked and put it in that way.
