Who counts points when they are sick? Do you track the crackers and Gatorade if that’s all you can eat with the flu?

I have a bad cold and I’m really struggling I have no energy to go to the store or cook but I also don’t want to gain weight either!

@kristynkrock Have soup with lots of vegetables. The vegies will not only fill you up, they will help you heal faster because they have lots of nutrients which will help your body fight the cold. Feel better!

I am sick as well but I feel to sick to be at it I count stuff I eat like soup but track it when I feel better

Sometimes. Sometimes when I’m sick I write in my tracker “Sick” or “Flu” to remind me to be kind to myself when that happens.

I was sick for a few days and all my ww training went out the window. When I’m sick I crave food. (Not a stomach bug). I had a white cheddar mushroom burger, boneless tenders covered in honey mustard, and countless other terrible things while I was sick. Now I’m feeling better and it’s hard to get back into it. But I’m trying. New week new me!

I would say it would be how sick you are. If you are at risk of being dehydrated drink your Gatorade and get healthy!

No. You need calories to heal. When you are sick is not the time to worry about losing weight. Your body needs food to heal and fluids.

Listen to your body. I have in the past Tracked the crackers, ginger ale, graham, etc. (habit). But I don’t worry about where the point count lands. Feel better

When I had the stomach bug all I ate was crackers and water. I did not track. I had maybe 20 crackers in 3 days. I lost 5 lbs during that time only gained 2 back.

I would say track if you don't feel completely miserable just to stay mindful but don't beat yourself up for going over.

I am just beginning to feel like myself after having a stomach bug. Have had to remind myself to eat, which is very unusual. Have tracked and lost weight, but I know the loss is because of a virus and not much else. This morning, I am actually hungry! Feel better.

Thanks for all the feedback! I expected there would be lots of different perspectives. Sounds like we all just need to do what feels right for us and focus on health first! Tracking or no tracking! Hope everyone else that is sick gets better soon!

Try eating chichen soup, broth good for you and 0 pts add some chicken, celery and carrots and onion. They say chicken soup helps you get better sooner.
