Ok I have a question about entering your own recipe. We made homemade chili. I built the recipe and I thought once I saved it in app it would develop the points. Yes? It gives total points for entire dish. Is there formula for determining servings?

Yes, if you're following a recipe, it usually says how many servings it makes. Or, you can do it the long way, figure out how big you want a serving to be (1c? 2c? ) and measure it out cup by cup. You can edit your recipe for number of servings.

Unless the recipe gives you a number and size of servings You will need to measure the volume or weight of the entire thing. Then divide that into whatever you decide a serving is and input the number of servings in the app. I prefer to weigh as it’s easier and I don’t have to wash all the measuring cups. For things like chili I weigh the finished batch (zeroing out the scale to allow for the bowl or weigh your pot before you start cooking and subtract the weight of the pot). I’ll often make the serving size small like 1 ounce. Then I just dial the serving size for However much I eat at a meal. If you make the recipe the same each time you’ll only have to go through this process once.

I measure the entire batch, then divide it by servings. Fir example if the whole pot us 12 cups, then I put in 8 servings for 1 1/2 cup serving, if the points are too high I try 12 1 cup servings, etc.

I just pour it into a 64 ounce pitcher so I don't have to measure out cup by cup and then divide the total into a 1 cup serving. If I want more than one cup, it's easy to calculate points.
