Who uses their fit points and still looses weight? If I have 27 of 25 fit points does that mean I get 27 extra points to add to my weeklies?

No--they don't turn into weeklies--they're kind of like "atta boys" for being active.

They may not be not turning into weekly's however they're a cushion to be used if you run out of weekly points. They can and should be used if someone wants to use them.

That could explain why people aren't losing weight. I don't believe that's how they're intended

You can use them if you run out of weekly points. They're a great cushion.

I don't think that's how they work

If you're earning a lot of fit points with strenuous exercise, I would recommend eating at least some of those points. I so often see, it's that people feel like they're doing "really well" because they are not eating their weeklys or fit points but they don't understand why they are not losing weight. Your body needs fuel in order to burn fat. I know there's some debate about whether "starvation mode" is a real thing or not, But I think your body holds on to that if you are not eating enough to keep up with your activity.

Okay so I was so confused about these and trying to figure out where they went I’d they were added to the weeklies or dailies

So how do you use them? Just use them and not calculate them into your daily amount?

If you don’t lose weight then I’d stop using the fit points and find more zero point foods.

I have swapped my weeklies with fit points - option in the app. my personal thought is I had to earn those points and I’m less likely to use them. Just one of my personal motivators. I’m not as likely to dive into them.

In our Thursday meeting the leader (excellent gal! ) says they aren’t really for extra eating purposes - you accumulate them for points if you’re using the AP to track points that you can use to get free gifts.

I workout hard and earn at least 100 fitpoints. I eat them all plus all my weeklies and I've lost 40 pounds since July

So if we don't put our fit points into our weekly allowance they just keep adding up indefinitely?
by (1.9k points)
@popery no, they go away when your new week starts just like the unused weekly allowance goes away.

Per WW website: You’ll need to earn the FitPoints equivalent of 3, 000 steps a day before you can start swapping any additional FitPoints for SmartPoints. (That’s 3-4 FitPoints a day for most people). Why? Your daily SmartPoints allowance is calculated on the assumption that you're doing some level of everyday activity—e. g., walking around the house, grocery shopping. After 3, 000 steps, any additional FitPoints can be swapped one for one for SmartPoints. And also: We believe in moving more because it gives you more energy, helps you feel comfortable in your own skin, and is vital in helping you keep off the weight you lose. Plus, it just feels good. But we also want WW to work for you. So if you're really active and swapping FitPoints for SmartPoints makes the program more livable for you, keep doing it. If you’re not seeing the results you want, stop.

In you settings, on the app, you can choose what you want to do with the points. Look at your options.

I have my settings set to swap fit points before weeklies. I did this because I wanted to make sure I was eating enough in proportion with my workouts. And yes. This has helped me lose. If I don’t eat my fit points I’m far more likely to just maintain. Now I’m 56 and menopausal so losing is slow. But it’s consistent. So that’s all that matters to me. A half a pound loss for me is as great as a 3 lb loss in my younger days!

Fit points are not a 1 to 1 conversion. If you set your app to convert them, it will add automatically.
