I eats lots of berries. In the winter I make a cranberry relish that you often serve at Thanksgiving. I combine it with plain yogurt. Filling and tasty. Melons are low too. I don’t eat them in the off season

Unless you are eating tons of fruit, all and any are pretty good, I doubt any of us are overweight because of fruit consumption. Sugar btw isn’t the devil eating thing in excess is. Let your body and weight loss be your guide everyone is different.

Sugar is natural for example when it is in fruit. Too much aka excessive eating of Anything can be considered “poison”. Moderation.

My personal trainer says I should only eat berries because they are lowest in sugar. Everyone is different though! I lost 60 lbs before eating a banana with life cereal and almond milk for breakfast.

Apples and berries are the best options, one banana a day is fine. Fruit is better than candy but everything makes us gain weight so there is a reason there are better fruit options, nothing is truly free. I eat 1 ton2 servings of fruit a day. I portion my fruit out. Sorry @quadrennium2 I know you didn’t ask for all of this, I was commenting on some of the other comments.

Good question until the presumption bananas can be bad. I’ve read on a number of reputable sites that they are used for both diahrrea and constipation. People react differently, so don’t count them out. Or as I’ve been taught. everything in moderation.

The USDA recommends 2 cups of fruit per day or 2 bananas. Bananas have 27 gms of carbs each and 105 calories each. You need to remember that zero points does not mean zero calories. That being said, my belief is that you should have 1 banana per day and a cup of some other fruit(s) to get different nutrients. Different fruits have different benefits. You should take advantage of them all. I usually have 1 banana, 1 citrus, and maybe berries or an apple depending on the size of the banana and orange.

@rauwolfia the main thing with bananas and also grapes is they are very high in sugar. I eat a banana everyday and used to eat grapes a lot before I had to have my teeth pulled. That being said eat them, enjoy them, but if you are seeing your weight loss stall then back off a little on them and see if that helps. Good luck and enjoy your journey!

Well 5 bananas are still 500 calories. Do what you want but, I’ve seen people eat lots of fruit and they never seem to lose weight and wonder why. I keep fruit at 2 a day or less.

@fabrianna go for it then whatever makes you happy since it’s zero points. That’s your choice. I’ll still pass it by as I limit fruit to 2 per day maximum and some days I don’t eat any fruit.

It’s all in the metabolism of the individual. I eat 1-2 /day and I have had success in losing.
