I have a question for everyone. has anyone tried the Hello Fresh while doing WW? I have just heard about this, and am interested to try it out, but want to make sure it's not going to put me over points or anything. I looked through some of the recipes, and they look pretty healthy, but just wanted to see if anyone had tried it first hand?

We have been using Dinnerly and Every Plate but I recently tried Hello Fresh. The food was good but the portions seemed smaller than the other two. I have a 17 year old boy so it just wasn’t enough food from Hello Fresh. Plus they were more expensive than Dinnerly and Every Plate, if you’re on a budget. But same as someone else said above you might just need to swap out lower fat ingredients if the points are too high. But since you can choose the lower calorie/vegetarian, etc. options I’m usually able to work them in my daily points without dipping into it weeklies too often.

Thank you! I have a 17 year old daughter and she eats like a bird lol. but I also have a 1 year old son who eats more than the 17 year oldI'm going to research them all and see. we are definitely not trying to spend an exuberant amount of money either!

@louielouis8 I buy 3 meals with 2 servings a week and even after shipping it’s just under $40 for the week. We can go to a restaurant one time and easily spend more than $40. So using these saves me some money by far!

@thickwitted for sure! That would make sense too. I just thought they were also a little more than I wanted to spend especially if I’m happy with the others. Budgets really suck sometimes!

@amnion Oh yes this will save us too, because we do eat out quite a bit and I['m hoping this will alleviate that some too!

@thickwitted that sounds nice and I did like that Hello Fresh prepackaged BUT I can easily do the same when I get the box if it will save me money.  My son isn’t super picky so there’s almost always something he will eat. I switch up between the two because there are definitely weeks when the options are better on one over the other. I just have to make sure and skip the weeks on the right plans so I don’t end up getting food from both in one week. Haha!

@louielouis8 I sent you a PM.

@amnion That would be something I'd do. order from both by accident lol!

@thickwitted Oh wow, that sounds right up my alley in a dish already and already prepped! Lol! I'm definitely going to have to research all the different options. I had no idea any of this was even a thing!

@thickwitted Time for sure, and the healthier choices. I have worked hard to lose 47 pounds, and I am not trying to mess up now! I'm 13 pounds away from my goal, but was just looking for some different recipes and came across this Hello Fresh!

I've done Hello Fresh, Blue Apron, Home Chef, and Sun Basket. Blue Apron has an actual WW program where you can select WW as your meal plan and they will present you with choices along with the points value. However, I'm not sure how it works now that they have the 3 color programs instead of just the one. The food was good though, I've had good meals on all of the programs.

We’ve been using Hello Fresh for 4 years. I joined WW in Sep 2018 and lost 30 lbs and have kept it off for over a year. I substitute some items on the meals if I don’t have enough points left for dinner. I will use low-fat Daisy sour cream, lite Blue Plate mayo, lite cheese, etc. These are items that are always in my house so substituting is easy. I also eat smaller portions in general so my hubby gets a little more food. It absolutely can work and the HF meals are amazing.

That's what I was thinking too, I could substitute because I always have low fat cheese, sour cream etc! Everyone I've asked about it says the meals are very good! I don't know how I've never heard of this!

@louielouis8 I can have a free box sent your way if you decide to sign up. And please know you can skip weeks and can cancel at any time. That’s how we got started 4 years ago. A friend had a free box sent to us & we never looked back. You can pick your meals weeks in advance, too.

@undetermined165 This is exactly what I was saying yesterday! Lol! Never heard of it! It's like a delivery service that sends recipes to your house! Very cool thing!

@undetermined165 It is a wonderful meal delivery service. They send you all the ingredients for the meals you choose and provide step-by-step directions on how to prepare. They are in several different countries. I’m in the U. S. It has made our lives SO much easier!
