This weekend I'm already preparing myself for what is ahead. Its my fiance and i's 4 year dating anniversary, we are going out 2 different nights. I want to enjoy myself but at the same time I know I'll be beating myself up. Does anyone feel this way? I know this is a lifestyle, I just have a hard time with myself.

1. Enjoy yourself 2. Try to have a game plan in advance 3. Enjoy yourself 4. It’s one day. Going over doesn’t derail your journey 5. Enjoy yourself

When I know I’m going to eat out ahead of time, I bank four points every day. If you do that six times, you have 24 extra points for your night out.

Check the menus online and try to make a healthy choice, but, enjoy it too. They're right. One meal does not not ruin a whole week.

Try to plan some ahead of time. Review the menu. Enjoy every bite and every sip/drink. Balance it with plenty of water. Recognize when you are comfortable, not stuffed. Really savor the food and the moment! You can get right back to your plan the next day.

I went on a date last night. Although I would have loved pasta and bruschetta. I chose a shrimp cocktail and half a chicken entree with veg and mash. I brought half home. Had two glasses of wine and stayed in my points. I didn’t think I could do it but I did ! . I made a nice salad today and put some of the chicken in it and I still have enough for lunch tomorrow

Way to work it ~ Making the plan fit into your life instead of fitting your life into the plan.

Last week was my Birthday week. several friends brought me treats and my husband took me to a place that was difficult to stay on target at. I did order a chicken entree, and I did eat the chips and drink the 3 glasses of sangria that I probably overestimated the points in. But then, I went to my dads, and I met some new friends and reunited with some old ones and drank some more devils juice. Then Sunday, I stayed pretty close to target, but Monday, the weigh in day (and my actual) bday left me with a lunch at wingstop. and I at the fries, and the wings and the ranch. In all, it was a . 2 lb gain. That being said, I reset that night, and am on target for this mondays target, and I laughed a lot! So yes I had a temporary setback. but I will do better next week! If I don’t lose on Monday, I will steady myself and be really strict. I’m so close to a step goal.

Shrimp, scallops, baked fish are your friend for one of the two nights. If you are on purple it would be easier. Ask for thing the way you need for them to be. No butter n veggies, bring your won dressing, baked without butter, as few bread crumb as possible. Be nice, but find yur inner Princess.

On the WW app is a list of restaurants and almost everything on their menus with the points, making it easy to plan ahead. Planning makes you feel empowered and not guilty! Feeling guilty can kind of ruin any celebration. I agree with those that recommended banking points in advance. Enjoy and Happy Anniversary!
