So, I'm curious as to what others would do. This morning I weighed in and it said 230. 7. This was before breakfast and before, ahem, going to the bathroom.  So right after, I ate breakfast and about 30 minutes later, went to the bathroom. About 20 minutes later, I went to take a shower and figured, what the heck, I'll weigh again to see if it really does make a difference. This time it said 229! I did it 3 different times and they all said 229. Lol so which would you log, the 230. 7 or the 229? (I logged the lower number, fyi. :) )
So, I'm curious as to what others would do.

@danella I usually weigh before eating and after going to the bathroom, but I was pretty hungry this morning. Lol

Agree. it doesn't matter. Just log the 229 and check again tomorrow.

I was just shocked it was that much of a difference. Lol I figured a couple of tenths of a pound difference, but not almost 2 pounds!

Put the scale away. Do your weekly weigh in. Love the fact your clothes are loose and, most importantly, celebrate every day!

It just proves bodies are complex machines and can be fickle with the scale for many normal reasons. It’s always one data point at a moment in time. I’d log 229

Whatever point in the day you usually weigh yourself I would pick. For example if you weigh before breakfast always weigh before breakfast. That way it is consistent

We all have these little ups and downs. Every day. We can't pay too much attention to them. Mostly water weight and a MIND TRAP. Whether you weigh every day or once a week, it's the average and the direction which matters. Do what you KNOW you have to do and trust the system. If we play games with ourselves, get too happy or get too dissatisfied we haven't really bought into the system and we're just frustrating ourselves. I've done it too, then when that Kinder number isn't there the next morning, I'm not happy. I wish I hadn't seen that number in the first place, 'cause it was just a tease. The only weight which matters is your check in weight. Besides, home scales can be screwy.

What my doctor told me and nutritionist is after you pee and before you eat or drink anything. If you happen to poop before you eat or drink anything will that's a bonus. So your accurate weight is when you first get out of bed and pee and poop if you happened to poop first thing. Yeah you can weigh yourself again after you poop but then you're getting obsessive and I do it all the time. Was weighing myself every single morning as I have started doing again but now I'm going crazy. I have a friend that we keep each other accountable and we text each other our weights every Monday

I have always the least about 10 o’clock in the morning. I guess it’s the difference in the fluid. My husband weighs less at night. Totally the opposite of me.
