Looking for recommendations.  I don’t want to spend the monthly fee for the WW app.Looking for recommendations. I don’t want to spend the monthly fee for the WW app. Which book should I buy? My first time doing WW. I’m reading that people like the old point systems better. Your thoughts? Thanks

Itrackbites. com is pretty much the same as Weight Watchers and ggd basic app is free. My husband swears by it! I use WW digital only and find his app is pretty much the same points etc. Just doesn't automatically do zero point foods such as chicken or eggs.

@arad39783 yeah, my husband even upgraded to the $35 version to do recipes! I smiled and was proud he's in it with me.

It was worth the investment in myself to pay the monthly fee to join WW.

I am considering switching from Blue to purple. Can you tell me what the big difference was for you? And was it easier or more difficult and anything you can tell about the difference from the blue and the purple that you found helped you to lose all that weight please? And congratulations! Good job!

So you want the info for free from those of us who pay? Digital only is cheap and that is the app.

Digital only is less than 20$/month. So worth it

@blastema my comment was not meant to insult anyone. I was stating a fact and saying it is so worth it. 20$ is 1or 2 less fast food per month. Not that bad

I pay $13. 99/month for the app. I figure that I would be spending that $13. 99 on junk food and pop so I might as well spend it on getting healthy. I also am on blood pressure and cholesterol meds that I have to pay for each month. I am faithful that soon I won't have to take and pay for those meds anymore. It's worth it!

The app is free; you pay for workshops and digital tools. In my humble opinion WW is worth every cent you pay because it teaches you the tools you need to live a healthier life. The incredible support and camaraderie in the workshops gives you a boost each week, teaches you accountability and provides tools and tips to get you over the hump. Even when my husband was unemployed I never stopped paying for my WW and 100 lb less I’m so glad I did. You will be, too.

@torp1 @laughter Brown Clawson I don’t think you can use the app without being a member.

@laughter, that is true, but there is no charge for the app in the App Store.

I recently became lifetime and I was told that I would be charged 13. 99 for the app and I do not use it. I had to phone them and explain that I do not have a smart phone nor a tablet therefore I do not use it. I purchased the points book from a workshop, it has point value for just about everything you can image. I also uses the old slide to calculate my points and have lost 25 pounds in 6 or 7 months.

@maynard I achieved lifetime three weeks ago, once you do . it you go to meetings, the coach will give you a code to get the app for free. It last three months. Then they will give you another code as long as you are still lifetime.

I have found books are great for random meals but if you want to loose weight the app is needed. It keeps you accountable and emails motivate you plus the food optiona are endless unlike a book. If you still choose to only buy books im pretty sure they release new ones at the supermarket regularly. They vary but I cant say 1 is better than another so just start with 1 and go from there. For people saying we paid but expect to give advice to a non payer if it were that simple noone would pay. I only pay because it doesn't work without the full package.
