I find whole wheat pasta to be an abomination! I just cannot do it. I made something with whole wheat penne and it ruined the whole meal. I am on  and whole wheat is 0. My best friend has a Gluten allergy and she uses Spelt. I wasn't able to look it up because I was in Germany but since being back I put it into the app and it looks like its 0. What this long post is getting at is: Has anyone tried Spelt pasta? Is it actually 0? And where can I buy this?

You are right, some wheat pastas are terrible! Especially if not cooked exactly right (either too mushy or too hard! ) Have you tried Barilla brand whole wheat pasta? I find it to be the best. In many recipes I can't tell the difference between it and white pasta.

I don’t know about spelt pasta but I do know that some brands of whole wheat pasta taste completely different from others. For me the first spaggetti in this pic is horrible and the second is so good that my husband and I can’t tell that it is whole wheat at all. So don’t give up anf try a few brands  I’m in the USA by the way.

You can buy spelt pasta on amazon. Spelt flour probably at Sprouts. I cook my WW pasta at least a minutes longer.

I don't know if you can get it where you are but Soubry wholewheat cappelini tastes just like the regular spaghetti and only takes 4 minutes to cook.

Do you have a local bulk barn. Depending on the size they may have various kinds to try a cup of vs buying a bag and not liking it. $$. Just write on the tag so you know which if any you like later!

I only eat the Tinkyada brown rice pasta. I have to eat gluten free and I feel like this is the best gluten free pasta.

I hated whole wheat pasta until I tried Trader Joe's Whole Wheat organic spaghetti. It was delicious. The only reason I tried it is because my husband picked it up. I wasn't going to cook twice. He wanted to try it and I wanted to show him how awful WW pasta is. I was wrong. The Trader Joe's organic is delicious.

Christine, my opinion. life is short. Yes, we need to lose weight but don’t spend your life tolerating whole wheat, especially whole wheat pasta. Eat the real thing, but eat a small portion. You’ll actually enjoy what you’re eating, not wasting time, money, or taste. And, don’t eat it every day. Enjoy life.

@interesting1 agree. We eat regular angel hair pasta every week and weigh it. You get a lot more by using angel hair  we've found that 1. 5oz is plenty vs the recommended 2. 0oz serving size
