My Fitbit Charger 2 bit the dust. I want something that is a watch, can use when swimming, counts steps, hrs. of sleep, reminds me to move, notifies me of a person calling etc. WHAT WOULD YOU SUGGEST? WHAT IS EVERYONE'S FAVORITE?

DId you have any warning? I have a Fitbit 2, and I expect it will go soon as well. Just wondering if I will have some advance notice. How did it act or did it suddenly just die?

Apple is “water resistant” not water proof
by (650 points)
@amboina Clancy-Palazzolo I think it depends which model you have as mine is waterproof. I believe swimming laps is one of the workout options

by (760 points)
Tell me how to use it. Got one as a gift and get heartbeats and sleep but nothing else makes sense
by (1.5k points)
@carma in the Fitbit app, click on your picture, then the charge 3. There is a how to use section and other helps that explains it all.

My Fitbit Versa died, I liked it but feel like it didn’t last long enough for the money. I’m looking for something new as well.
by (5.4k points)
@bohemianism my first Versa died within 3 or 4 months so I called Fitbit and they sent me a replacement. I have had issues with it once or twice but so far so good. Been about 9 months now but if this one dies within the next year, I’ll not get another one.
by (5.6k points)
My first one died right after I got it and they did send me another one too, this one I’ve had about a year now I think.

My old Charge 2 just gave out also. I went with the Versa 2. I love it. But I like to have it set for an always display instead of the demand. . The battery needs to be charged often with that setting. I did get my daughter the Charge 3 & she loves it. I think the Charge 3 is the way to go if you are looking for longer time between charging.

I wear my Fitbit charge 3 every day and all night. I’ve had it since January. I keep it set to display when I shake my wrist. I only have to charge it about every 5 days. It’s tough and durable. I had a little trouble with the app. at first, but not lately.

I liked the Charge 2 and had it for about 4 years. The only problem I ever had was the bands coming loose from the hooks. I had to replace 3 bands. WHAT IS THE PRICE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CHARGE 3 AND APPLE WATCH WHICH SEEM TO BE THE FAVORITES, ANY IDEA?
by (560 points)
@branle same problem with the bands. Fitbit finally stopped giving me a band. I ordered knock off bands on amazon and they have been much sturdier. I have several coworkers who have garmins and love them!
by (2.2k points)
@bodgie I ordered 2 from Wal-Mart for like $10. 85 and they lasted longer.

I love my Apple Watch 5. It has all of the features you listed. I use the outdoor goal app to track my exercise-generally I walk a lot because of my bum knee. It also has the ecg and heart rate monitor. I bought the watch without the cellular plan because I always have my phone with me. I highly recommend it
