I don’t have the virtual meetings. I’m online only. My two cents for what it’s worth is. whether you do a virtual meeting or not, the decision to put food and drink into our mouths is totally and completely up to us. Reset and remember that there isn’t much we can control right now, but we can control what we put into our bodies!
by (1.3k points)
@twosided6392 I am online only also and joined a virtual meeting you can you im sure.
by (3.2k points)
@counterpane thanks. I’m really not interested in a virtual meeting. I’ve been reading posts of people ready to quit because they don’t like the virtual meetings and my point was that with or without the meeting, the decision to follow the program is completely up to each individual!

I love them - so convenient. I hope we still have that option when things return to “normal. ”

I totally agree! I have a great meeting leader, but b/c of my son’s sports I often have to weigh in and leave. I would love to be able to even just listen. Or if home sick etc.

I am thinking the same thing, I pay extra for the meetings, yet this isnt what I signed up for
by (650 points)
@preferential hate the virtual meeting too
by (250 points)
@preferential I agree! I am afraid they will decide to keep them as opposed to actual meetings.

I think it’s better than nothing. it also depends on your leader. I enjoy it better in person. but my leader is doing a good job.
by (2.1k points)
The only other option is to quit during the quarantine. and is that actually a better option?
by (1.2k points)
@mallett @phenothiazine91 really not quitting, since i know the plan and would still follow it, just while not paying extra for a lesser service
by (1.2k points)
@mallett @phenothiazine91 that’s what I am doing right now.

by (1.3k points)
@conflagrant I was also given 2 free months when I complained!

@conflagrant I didn’t get anything.
by (990 points)
@mallett you can say you’re cancelling because you can’t afford it because of covid
by (980 points)
@conflagrant I didn’t get anything. Thought I would go back but not now. I’m a firm believer if you do it for one you do it for all.

by (9.7k points)
@saintpierre889 :I contacted customer service on my app. But I didn't cancel, they gave me two months free.
by (1.5k points)
@voronezh did you call or did you speak to the live support team?
by (9.7k points)
@saintpierre889 :I didn't actually speak to anyone. We communicated by text. I did it on the app. I'm not very tech savvy. I was just playing on the app and found customer service and typed them a message.
by (1.5k points)
@voronezh I found it thanks for letting me know, I got 2 months free so I didn’t have to cancel  hopefully I will be back at work by June
by (9.7k points)

They are helping me to stay focused but I really prefer the in person group meetings. I am an emotional night eater and have been gaining some each week. The gain would be worse if I wasn't attending the virtual meetings. Still at lifetime so far.

+3 votes
by (1.5k points)
While the virtual meeting is not the same as in-person meetings, I have found them just as helpful. I can connect with my leader and other WW members. By doing this, I have been staying on track during the quarantine. I was apprehensive about these meetings before they started, but I am so glad I have tuned in.

I am loving them. It takes a little getting used to but it gives me an opportunity to still see my leader, other members AND meet new members as most virtual meetings combine different groups. It’s been fun, and I love the support they give during such uncertain times.

I think the virtual meetings are great during this time when we can’t be together in our studios. WW is doing a great job of continuing to support is virtually and in emails. It’s a tough time for all of us but this to shall pass. Remember as WW we are better together!

It will give you cities and Personal ID # to get in to Zoom meeting. For me, obviously like in person. That said in these trying times, very thankful to have these meetings. I see a lot of familiar faces. Still get the support of the Coach & other members. I do 2 meetings a week. Need this support. Highly recommend!

I have done two meeting a week for over a year. Membership pays for unlimited meetings. I found two groups I really like. Each leader has a different take on the weekly topic. Both good, but different.

I’m certainly not quitting, and I did try one virtual meeting. Not my cup of tea. But I am tracking and posting my weight each week, so I’m doing okay. Not losing, but maintaining, and for now that’s just fine with me.
by (1.4k points)
I recommend trying it again. It is new for everyone. I have found that each week it gets better. It is a fast learning curve as people are using zoom in their everyday lives.

I’m not a huge fan of the virtual meetings versus live, but I need something. I’ve been attending several virtual meetings a week instead of just one. It helps.

You can turn on a filter so it shows the filtered background and you. This way they will see you and not your house. You may want to find another group that isn’t rude anyway though.

I’m a lifetime member but still go for a weekly weighin. Keeps me focused. I haven’t attended a meeting in close to a year but I now log in weekly to the virtual meeting. It seems to be a small group but I like the moral support everyone offers.

I dropped my membership to on-line only . it is cheaper. Weigh-ins are what keeps me accountable, without weigh-ins I didn’t see the point in paying more. I will go back to full membership when it is safe to meet in groups.
by (1.2k points)
@grandparent Stone I did exactly the same but I am not being so good with my eating. (I will be happy if I come out of this the same weight and not putting on )

Not the real McCoy. And my scale reads differently if I get on it 5 times in a row. I like that the WW studio had a consistent scale. Right now, I have a 3 month promotion. After three months I’ll be paying almost $50 / mo. I will go with only digital at that time.
