Works for me. I haven’t gained an ounce during the quarantine. I’ve lost a total of 120 pounds on the old Points Plus and now this. Freestyle was too “free”. I don’t care if I lose right now as long as I do not gain. I’m 30 pounds from goal. I started at 300 pounds and am strong at 180 now.

@essy802 congratulations! You look great !

@footgear thank you! My health is so important to me. Blood pressure meds cut back, no more high cholesterol. I just turned 58 and hope to be here for my 6 grandchildren a long time ❤️

I wonder why there would be negativity towards the green plan. I totally see the merit behind it. I’m purple myself but see nothing wrong with green.

When it was the only plan option I lost about 40# on it. I prefer the structure of having less zero point foods.

Was on blue for months and decided to go back to ‘the old plan’. yes that’s what green is. So far being accountable for more foods (green) has been more beneficial.

All the plans work just as well the problem people have with green is there are not many zero point foods. But being on green is actually better i think it keeps you accountable and don’t over eat what the other plans zero point foods have they don’t realize there is still calories. I have done green and lost 65lbs to lifetime

If you’re eating a well balanced diet there is little difference in overall points. If you go in the app and switch plans, my blue dot days are still blue dots and there is very little difference taken from my weeklies. Maybe a difference of 5 points
by (28.2k points)
@holy8 Kennedy yes but if you’re overdoing it on zero point foods than you aren’t eating a well balanced meal, which is what I was saying
by (820 points)
@bysshe your blue dots wont change if you switch plans. If you go back they’re recorded as the plan they were those days

I love green. It’s working slowly but surely for me. Green is the closest plan to what I used in 2014-2016 and I lost 100 pounds then. Unfortunately life happened and I gained some back. But I love green. I like having to be accountable for everything I eat.

I'm 5'4 started on Green in Feb, by end of March I was 16 lbs lighter. I'm 52 years young. I have less than 30 lbs to goal. I started in a size 10 on WW and consider myself average. Normal size for me is a small 6.

Review all 3 programs - they all work but you need to determine which fits better in your life. I switched from blue to purple in January because I felt it would fit my life better. It’s perfect, for me. Only you can decide which will work best for you. I wish you the best of luck on your journey. Keep posting, we’ve all been there & we’re all here for each other.

I'm on green and won't change. I'm one who needs accountability. So more of the foods are assigned points. I have been on the plan for 3 months and have lost 34 lbs so far. There are too many zero point foods on the other list for me to remain accountable since zero points does not mean zero calories! To me, green means GO!

I am a LT member. Lost my weight on Green 5 years ago. When the plan changed to blue I struggled with the zero foods . So in January I decided I really needed to lose some more weight and I did it easily on green. I don’t think it is the hardest. It makes me accountable and it works for me. Good luck

Well, Green is what you make of it. The choices you make to use your points, It gives a great deal of freedom in that respect. So it is possible you can choose lots of processed foods and simple carbs or high fat meats and may not add in as many lean meats, whole food carbs or legumes or veggies and some fruits. If that is you, choose a different plan. If you can balance well adding in lean meats, fish, beans while counting those points then go for it. For example a salmon and lentil recipe I use is 11 points on green but only 3 on blue. On green I have to avoid saying, I’d rather have “——“ for that amount of points. On blue I would choose that over say a beef and pasta dish because the points are lower. That being said, I have toggled between the two on any given day and have been within points on both. Purple is a different story all together.

People tend to be negative in general. We are all different what works for you might not work for someone else. Try it for 2 weeks if it doesn't work switch to Blue. Try it forn2 weeks if it doesnt work switch to purple. You'll do great on one of them Everyday is a new fresh start. We all get into that frame of mind at one point or another. I reread the post I share with other people that are just starting out or need refocusing when I need to refocus myself. Maybe something on this will help you. The good thing is it is a new day! Today you start fresh. Today is your first day! Welcome to WW! Here are some basic tips TRACK every lick, bite, and taste. The program does not work if you don't track. You can lie to the tracker but your body knows what it ate. MEASURE breakout the measuring spoons, cups and the food scale. Don't eyeball it you will be wrong. EXERCISE find something you love. You won't do if you hate it. I personally like walking, dancing when the weather says don't walk, and cardio-drumming. I do cardio-drumming from YouTube videos. Nothing is more satisfying than hitting things with sticks. If you need to start easy try marching in front of the TV during commercials and then build yourself up to a whole show. MEAL PREP I always keep a big bin of chopped onions, a big bin of chopped bell peppers, and a big bin of chunks of cooked chicken breast. I also have staples like cucumbers, tomatoes, spinach, pasta, laughing cow triangle cheese, olive oil farro, tzatziki sauce, garlic, eggs, apples, oranges, bananas, berries, whatever is in season. This way when I am hungry I have healthy choices. Breakfast omlette throw together garlic, onions, peppers, eggs and then fold it over a cut up wedge of laughing cow cheese. For lunch a very easy tzatziki chicken. Chicken, bell pepper, onions, cucumber, tomatoes. Toss it with tzatziki sauce. You can put it on a pita, eat it without the pita, or what I like to do is RIP up half a pita and mix it in after the tzatziki is mixed in. For dinner maybe a salad with the spinach, onions, peppers, chicken. Etc. Maybe pasta or rice with anything on the list. The most important tip is KINDNESS be as nice to yourself as you are to others. When you are giving your self negative back talk, ask yourself if that is how you would speak to a friend and give yourself a break. I almost forgot. zero points does not mean zero calories. For instance, a banana is zero points but if you over banana you are gonna get yourself into trouble. EAT you need to eat within 10 below and 5 above your points level. If consistently under eat your body thinks there is a famine and holds on to every ounce of weight it can until the famine is over. Under eating and over exercising is a bad combo. If you stick to 5 below and 5 above it works better. for me at least. You are not alone in this. A lot of us join with that "last resort" mentality. But don't think that way. Take a nice before picture with a big smile because today is the day your life changed for the better. You are gonna get healthy, you are gonna be fit. You are gonna breathe better. You just need to give it some time. This is a slow process but it is a process that works. I'm excited for you taking this big step towards a healthier life. You might want to sit down and write yourself a love letter stating why you joined WW and what your long term goals are, how you will accomplish them (small term goals) and what you will be able to accomplish when you get there! I personally would like to be able to get up off the floor without having to hoist myself up on the couch like I am climbing Mount Everest. That is one of the things future me will be able to do. Last tip. don't hang out in the kitchen. Eat there, cook there, clean the dishes. But if it isn't kitchen related get out of there it is too tempting. Also do not compare your journey to anyone else's. We are all different. We all have different metabolisms. So mind your own journey and don't worry that someone else lost more that week. It won't help your progress.
