Do you think 50 lbs by October is possible? I’m a nursing momma and I pack it on while nursing! Ugh!

I’m sure it’s possible but I think very ambitious. Usually estimate 1-2 lbs a week. So on that matter might be closer to 12 months to get 50lbs off. I personally rather set small goals and be successful then to aim high and get disappointed.

@ape71 I hear you, I did keto last year and lost 30lbs in 5 weeks so I’m hoping that in 6 months it’s possible to lose 50

@wiener1710 I hope you can do it! I’m never that lucky.

Last year I started WW Feb 1 and lost 51 lbs by September, but then I found out I’m pregnant so I’m not following for now. I definitely believe it’s possible!

Definitely! I've lost almost 30lbs since Jan! I still honestly can't believe it, I thought it would take way longer than it has.

I’ve been a WW member since February 2019. I’m sitting at an overall loss of 75 lbs. with 3. 6 lbs away from being at a health weight for a female of my age and height. I find a lot of success for my journey through my fitness and patience with myself. I think it’s great to have a goal, but not necessarily having a timeframe on that goal because it puts a lot of stress on yourself.

Yes but nursing moms should be losing weight. Usually thats how it works. Since the little demons are draining you. It all depends what you are eating

@desireedesiri exactly - I eat sweets and crap while nursing and being so hungry. Bad choices  This is my 8th nursing year and every time

Personally I would concentrate on nutrition not weight loss while nursing. After weaning is plenty soon enough to restart your weight loss goals.

I wouldn't give myself a time span. You can set yourself up for disappointment. Everyone's journey is unique.

@bausch39 I agree to an extent but I think it's also helpful to set small goals along the way. For example my goal is to lose at least 5 per month. And my big goal is to lose 100 in a year which will be June of this year. I'm 10 pounds away!. Plus the sense of accomplishment you feel even when you succeeded a small goal is priceless.

Yes! I don't do WW. I track my calories using MyFitnessPal and I exercise 30 minutes everyday. I've lost 90 since last June. No matter what plan you follow do it religiously! You got this!

I have done that before and I was in my 40's. It was a committment though and like @hanson I did my fitness pal and tried walking or biking for at least 1/2 hour every day. Be kind to yourself, I'm sure you are busy and not sleeping the best, it might be a bit slower but you will get there. Congratulations on your new baby
