I started 2 weeks ago and was put on purple. I'm worried. That has the least amount of points to use, (even though I have a hard time using all the points), but eventually I would have to switch, right? How are my fellow purple people doing on purple?

Why would you have to switch?

@hope I've read of people switching because a certain plan was not working anymore, and when they switched, they had success. However, the purple plan has the least amount of points, so IF I were to switch, that only leads to a plan with more points to eat. Wouldn't that make me eat more?

@hope you never have to change but have the option to if you wish.

@masjid I’ve been on the blue plan since it was freestyle and have lost 84 lbs. when the plans changed to colors, my friend who has also lost 80 lbs switched to purple and loves it. More points doesn’t equal more food. You have to find what works for you. If you are not prone to overeat zero point food, then stick with purple. If you are, then I might switch to green where you have to track everything. If you need any help, feel free to message me and I’m will tell you what I know from my own experience. Good Luck! ❤️

It all depends on what you like to eat. If you don't use all of the points, you have no need to switch unless you are not losing. People who change plans usually don't have enough points.

@masjid yes there are more points, but fewer zero points. It all evens out.

@taut20513 aha. Ok, thank you. So new to this!

@masjid I started out on blue and switched to green. I felt it made me more accountable and prepared me for the future when/if I make my goal weight

@taut20513 thank you! That's amazing, and congrats on your successes! I, too, want to lose about 80 or so lbs. So far I have lost just over 7 in under three weeks! So far so good!

You can switch between plans but it is recommended to stay on one plan for 2 weeks before switching. I think the plans are based on more of your desire of how much to track and what foods you enjoy eating. I am on purple because I like pasta and potatoes and don't like to track. So I eat many zero point foods. Switching plans should not result in eating more or less. It is not mandatory to switch plans. If you like purple, you can stay on it indefinitely. If purple is not working for you, then you can switch.

It depends how you eat. Purple also has the most zero foods - the other plans count WW pasta, grains & potatoes. If you normally incorporate those items another plan may end up exactly the same

I love the purple plan. I use 0 pts foods as a base then add pointed foods to it

No need to switch if it works for you. Make sure to use as many points as you can, only 4 roll over per day and then they reset every week.
