Thanks for the note! I never know what to do with my points. I’m so happy I could help those in need. Just donated 7, 000 points!

@appalachian oh my gosh, thank you for this! I was finding this the WORST most awful post, until your comment
by (1k points)
@hypoderma you have to find the good in all things! ❤️ I’m just glad I could help! Have a good weekend!
by (1.3k points)
@appalachian absolutely. Especially with all the struggling within our communities right now. And you too!
by (4.7k points)
@appalachian awesome that you were able to do something to help others with your earnings!

What do you mean forced?
by (520 points)
@recrement Sounds like you do mind lo
by (1.6k points)
@kerin that seemed really hateful. We are a community that should support and not judge. It sounded like a clarification question only.
by (520 points)
@dysentery8 Hateful? It’s an opinion . My opinion
by (1.6k points)
@kerin but was that helpful to @recrement? Life is hard enough for some right now and not every opinion needs to be expressed. Let's take care of each other.
by (520 points)
@dysentery8 I’m done with this Move along

I haven’t seen anything about this and I would doubt that is the case
by (2.3k points)
@doak25 all the rewards for the wellness wins until June can be donated and WW matches it. You definitely aren’t forced
by (14.7k points)
@justajustemilieu that’s actually really a great option! The post indicates we were forced, which I didn’t believe would be true. Thanks for letting me know!
by (2.3k points)
@doak25 yeah in my workshop my coach said we had the option to donate them and ww is matching
by (850 points)
@doak25 well, we aren’t forced. because we have an option to donate our winnings or donate to a WW picked charity. Okay.
by (14.7k points)
@nebraska979 okay. Or perhaps just hold onto our winnings until we have other options.

As much $ as WW makes they can donate all this with out the “wins” that we earn so don’t let anyone make you feel guilty about asking this question.

No you can hang on to your wins until later. I did however donate all my 4000 wins. I working on building up more as fast I can to help some more. I'm glad I could use them for something useful instead of something I'd probably use for a short time then stick in a cabinet.
by (2.3k points)
@hillhouse I just did the same thing. I've got enough stuff.
by (770 points)
@warner yay. I didn't know we could do that. I'm so glad it popped up on there today.
by (2.3k points)
@hillhouse Me, too.
by (1.9k points)
@hillhouse I donated my 4000 yesterday.
by (770 points)
@pt4 nice job.
by (1.9k points)
@hillhouse I was happy to do it. I had been wondering what I was gonna do with because I didn’t really need anything. I was happy to donate my points.
by (770 points)
@pt4 I was the same. I don't need anything. I'm trying to get rid of things. And it felt good to donate to a family in need. My husband was just laid off on Monday and my hours at work were cut in half. We are blessed to have some money in savings and he got a severance package. He had been at his job for 26 years.
by (1.9k points)
@hillhouse Sorry to hear about your jobs. It’s great y’all had some savings. I still work but I have to work from home. I thought it would be great but it is like I never get to leave work.

No. It’s an option. Go look and you’ll see it’s one option.
by (2.6k points)
@hypophyge7995 no they took away all items and replaced the items with 3 categories of donations.
by (3.1k points)
@reede Then I would save my points because I’m thinking it will return with stuff for members.
by (2.6k points)

I have donated my wins twice. To be able to donate 40lbs of fresh food to someone who is not as fortunate as I am, feels great.
by (770 points)
@tobias awesome
by (2.6k points)
@tobias did they tell you who it went to?
by (540 points)
@reede no, I believe it will be divided. The first time I did it it was 1000 points this time was 2, 500. I don’t need to know, just glad it will be of be of help to others.
by (2.6k points)
@tobias hopefully it goes to those in need. I'm very skeptical about things like this. I like to know where I'm donating too. Example I stopped giving to Goodwill because they turn around sell it and employees make minimum wage but the CEO makes millions. ‍♀️
by (430 points)
@reede the CEO of goodwill does not make millions. Not everything you see on the internet is true. Goodwill does a lot of good actually.
by (2.6k points)
@yerga ok not millions but close to a million and pays employees next to nothing. I knew a few people who worked for goodwill and they weren't paid very well.
by (430 points)
@reede close to a million is significantly less than most CEO’s. Goodwill in my area pays trainers several dollars above minimum wage. They also train people with disabilities for jobs and skills. They rank very highly among reputable charities where the least amount of money goes to overhead.

by (2.8k points)
I like donating, I really do. I have a couple of regular charities that I give to. But I like these wins to be separate from my charity work. The struggle is mine and I like this one thing to be for me. If WW wants to donate to charity, they can do it too. They don't have to take something away that's a part of their program. Honestly it's not like it cost anything to run an app and their not doing workshops.
by (3k points)
@feodore Schnitzer this is what I mean. I want it , WW, for me. Here at hometown I give frequently. I like to see persons when they rexeive and their happiness

by (3.2k points)
So WW gets the credit for the donations. Never liked when a company donates for you. And why didn't they provide an option for members who lost their jobs to receive a gift card for items they may need (food, toiletries, etc. ) or a free month?

What wins we don't get any in Australia
by (1.3k points)
You can earn points for tracking each meal and activity plus 50 points a week for attending a meeting.
by (1.3k points)
I was able to donate 9500 to help supply food to those struggling. It's always an option, but right now they took away the other options. Usually, there are three tiers of rewards we can earn. The rewards are things like a yoga mat, socks, or water bottles, all with WW advertising slogans on them.
by (5k points)
Been going for 10 years and worked for them never heard of this program with rewards
by (1.3k points)
They didn't have it back in the day, that's for sure. I think it rolled out when Freestyle became the latest and greatest plan. It's a participation trophy, I guess. LOL!

In Australia we don’t have ‘wins’ - how does it work please

We earn 5 points per each meal we track, 5 points if we get activity, 50 points a week if we attend a workshop (meeting).

by (6.4k points)
In my opinion. these 'donations' made by members. WW will take credit for the donation. not the individuals.
by (1k points)
@minda and? What’s wrong with that? As long as those in need are getting the help, who cares who gets the credit? It’s not about me, it’s about them.
by (6.4k points)
Don't you think those that 'donate' should get the credit? I do. So sorry you think otherwise. Been down this road before.
by (840 points)
It's kinda ridiculous that people only donate if they get recognized for it. You shouldn't need a pat on the back for lending a hand, you aren't 5 years old anymore.

It's called teamwork.

I would prefer to have been given the choice to donate. I did get some fun stuff. Not all “useless crap. ”
by (1.4k points)
@jointless700 you do have a choice. This is temporary. But in retrospect, useless crap to me, clearly means something different to you. Me, I’d rather see families eat, then get a wine tumbler, or other useless crap I can buy myself. And honestly, I don’t care if WW says it from them. I do not donate for people to thank me, I do it because I want to, and knowing I could help someone in some small way is more than enough.
by (2.2k points)
@mordant nowhere did I say I didn’t want to donate. I just said I’d like to be given the choice.
by (1.4k points)
@jointless700 you are. The donations are only up temporarily. Don’t want to donate don’t. keep them until they are down, that is your choice.

I don’t think we’re being forced to give them up -but rather it’s a choice to help those less fortunate than yourself. I donated 4000 of my wellness win points and didn’t think twice about it. Helping someone else is more important to me then Wanting something I didn’t really need. We have the choice to keep them or donate . It’s more blessed to give than receive

I donated mine, some people really need the help. A lot of you sound awfully selfish.

@imposture imagine being judged for not donating imaginary points that have no real monetary value- when in reality WW could just donate to those in need if they truly wanted to.
by (840 points)
Then hold onto your imaginary points if it makes you feel better!
