Ok am I the only one who thinks it’s wrong that we only have the option to donate our wins right now? I know it sounds selfish but I worked hard to track and stay on track. Ok end rant lol

How about you just save them for when they offer different rewards. I know it’s frustrating, but hang on to them. I’m sure it’ll change

I like the idea that we cAn donate, but I agree with you. I donate outside of ww, so they shouldn’t have the right to make that decision for us. it’s really right.

I don’t think it’s wrong at all. This is not the time to be ordering non-essential items, and it gives an opportunity to do some good if we want to. If you don’t want to, just wait and spend your wins later when things are being shipped again.
by (6.4k points)
I’ll also add. saying things like “I’ve worked hard and saved so I should be able to get what I want now” is unreasonable given the current climate. Lots of people work hard and save for all kinds of things, much bigger than a tumbler or a hat from WW. I worked hard and save thousands of actual dollars for a dream vacation this year, and it’s cancelled. And that’s ok, it should be, to keep people safe. If you were to order whatever you wanted right now, people have to package it and ship it and mail people have to handle it and deliver it to you, and it put extra strain on essential workers for your non-essential items.
by (6.6k points)
@reinhold93 my husband is an essential worker and so is my dad. My 30th birthday vacation got canceled as well that we’ve saved for 2 years for. Trust me I get it. But when you have something to look forward to in a time like this (not necessarily referring to WW) and then it’s taken away it’s a bit frustrating.
by (2.4k points)
@reinhold93 speak for yourself, when yoy work hard whats wrong with wanting a reward?
by (6.4k points)
@disclaimer sure, it is frustrating. We’re all frustrated about something. I’m frustrated by people who keep going out and seeing their friends and family while I’m cooped up in my house alone for a month, and will need to be even longer because of those people. but hey, that’s life. You can be frustrated, and you can express frustration. But the sense of entitlement of “I want this now! ” Is a bit silly given the circumstances, isn’t it?
by (6.4k points)
@robinetta6 wanting one and saying “it’s not fair that I can’t have it now” are different.
by (6.6k points)
@reinhold93 I never said I want this now. I was just expressing my feelings.
by (6.4k points)
@disclaimer you said you think it’s wrong that you can only donate your wins right now. And it’s not wrong. It’s safe.
by (6.6k points)
@reinhold93 let’s agree to disagree. Enjoy your day!
by (740 points)
Just wanted to pop in and say WW is still shipping orders it has nothing to do with that otherwise they wouldn’t be taking orders in the site

In the UK there has always been the option to donate, but we weren't sure how quickly it gets to those in need. I'd rather take my rewards and donate money.
by (6.6k points)
@crackup We’ve always had the option too. I donate every to Month to a good bank. I’m with you. I earned my wins and I should be able to do spend them ‍♀️

I agree but I think someone had mentioned that they are going to update the Rewards soon with other items so just save them

I donated mine and was happy to be able to help! If you don't want to donate just hold on to them they'll have prizes again.

No, I thought the same thing when I checked mine yesterday, kinda like the mask thing, no choice. Pretty sure I am paying WW. Not the other way around. ☹️
by (6.6k points)
@robinetta6 amen sister.

@robinetta6 you have a choice. You can choose to wait until items are being shipped again. No one is making you donate your wins

They are not trying to limit you. They probably do not have the staff to send out rewards, or they don't think it is safe for us. They could just say that we can't redeem them now. Instead they are giving us opportunity to make a donation. If you don't want to do that, just wait until this is over, and you can get the regular goodies.
by (6.4k points)
@sibilate exactly, it’s for safety, everyone’s. Some people just don’t get it.
by (6.6k points)
@sibilate which I totally get. I’m going to wait it was not what I was expecting when I looked at the rewards ready to cash them in ‍♀️
by (4.5k points)
Ashley, I'm sure. A lot will wait, a lot will donate. I was just saying that they were trying to not just shut everything down. I want to downgrade to internet only during this, and they don't seem to have the (wo)man power to handle it. I'm working at being patient, trying to remember that everyone is doing the best we can.
by (6.6k points)
@sibilate I wonder if you cancel and then just restart with the app only if that would work ‍♀️

I could have sworn we have always been able to donate them. At least in Canada

@harpole11 ya we have the option to donate them. Which I have done in the past.

C'mon. stop it. Maybe their vendor is not working at full capacity right now? Maybe their vendor is in a covid hotspot? Maybe their own ww shipping and distribution for these items is not running right now. No one has said you must turn them in right now. You can donate or wait and bank them up. Its not unfair, its temporary.
by (6.4k points)
@phthisis yup! Thank you!
by (5.2k points)
@reinhold93 I just keep seeing this posted over and over. Enough, already.
by (6.4k points)
@phthisis right? We’re all disappointed about something these days, but that’s the reality. It’s not wrong, it just is.
by (6.4k points)
My brother was working in a hardware store, and he got so pissed off about having to put his health at risk so people could come in and buy a lamp. Like, total non-essential items, ya know?
by (5.2k points)
The last thing I'm worried about or eager to have back are company branded wineglasses and cheap totebags. Every now and then theres something good on rewards and I'm saving mine up for when that happens. In the meantime, I'm spending mental energy being eager to see my granddaughter and friends and family again.
by (2.5k points)
@phthisis if it's a problem with their vendors or with them distributing it, then they should say that, not just take away choices
by (5.2k points)
@redingote you're right. There should have been an announcement.

I totally agree. There is no reason that we have to donate our wins that we worked so hard for. I am just going to wait until they start giving us our stuff back and get something then. It’s the principle. I have over 5000 wins. I worked hard for it. I am definitely not going to donate it.

Ok I didn’t mean for this to get heated. I’ve always found support on this page and was just stating how i felt. I know it’s temporary, I know I can wait, I understand why they aren’t having things being shipped out. My family has multiple essential workers in it and I get it. Just simply stating how I felt.
by (1.3k points)
Nothin wrong with that! <3 I agree with you. I understand WW intentions at the same time too. It's not the end of the world but we are allowed to not like it! :)
by (400 points)
@disclaimer I'm saving mine for when I need a treat I just hope that people don't look at me as selfish for doing that - I'm a keyworker, I exhaust myself to support others, I support many charities but mainly animal based ones and donate regularly to various causes. I however also am more than happy to wait till the world is at it's new normal to be able to redeem these for anything for myself :)

I just wish I had an option to choose. It’s bad enough we are being told what we can do and where we can go and when we can do it in other areas of our life now. To be told we can only donate our wins just takes another freedom away from us. I’m disappointed in this. But, WW knows that if we say something, we look like the bad guys. Nice strategy, WW. As soon as my time is up, I’m done with WW. The virtual meetings are a joke too, but I’m more understanding that members may not understand the technology.
by (640 points)
@reinhold93 - no, that’s a very wrong assumption on your part. But, you go ahead and feel free to judge me.
by (6.4k points)
@cherub is it judgement if it’s just pointing out the obvious? What freedom is taken away by you having to wait a little longer to order your blue WW hat?
by (640 points)
@reinhold93 -simply my freedom of choice. Right now I’m choosing to ignore your need to be snide and sarcastic to someone you don’t even know.
by (640 points)
@reinhold93 “It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt. ” Mark Twain
by (6.4k points)
@cherub I agree. Lots of people here should have kept their mouths closed and kept their selfishness to themselves
by (6.4k points)
@cherub I’m turning off notifications now, so you can have the last word if you need it.
by (640 points)
@reinhold93 - that is a very good decision on your part. I’m sorry you can’t see my (and others) point of view on this.

I always feel bad when people just want to express how they feel online (especially such a light subject, )and then get beat up. After reading your post, I said to myself, uh oh people are not gonna take to kindly to that opinion. Was I wrong?

I agree with you. I choose to donate in other ways. WW took away our choice for something we earned and they probably count any of these donations as a tax free donation from them
by (6.4k points)
@redingote they didn’t take away your choice. They can’t send stuff out right now because their staff are not considered essential personnel. So they removed the rewards while ordering is suspended, and you’ll be able to get your stuff when all this is done. No choice has been taken. You have the choice to save your wins.
by (2.5k points)
@reinhold93 then they should say that's the reason why. They could explain that they don't have personnel or supplies. Instead they just say here's all you can do.

No, you are allowed to feel your feelings. People who want to donate, can. Those who dont, can save them. We all give in our own way. We should all be able to do what we want without judgement. Some times those little rewards help keep us on track.

I worked hard to track and stay on track too. My reward is my weight loss and being lifetime below goal weight. I always donate food with my wins. And I feel really good that I am helping a family in need. WW is not about getting free stuff for me
by (2k points)
@dysentery8 Stewart Herman me too! I treat my self when I reach goals, I’d rather help others  weight loss is enough of a reward for me too. like what’s a cup or a mirror or whatever gonna do to help me? Nothing! What’s 60 meals to a family in need? Possibly their survival. I feel better as a person helping others. But each to their own

by (6.6k points)
@tesler6 once you reach a certain number you can trade them in for things or donate them

by (720 points)
I understand that we need to help each other. But yes it's frustrating that WW is not giving the other options too. I was saving for something right. Then all this happened and now I can't go to the gym. It's ok safety first. They had Obe fitness for 3 months. I was like perfect. I had a question so email Obe. It took 2 days to get an answer. Got it and went to get the membership but it's no longer there.  I'll look for something else and just save. Just going to mean more times trying to figure it out instead of working out. I do donate. More to animal shelter because they need help too.

by (5.6k points)
I totally agree with you. If WW wants to look good they should donate their own money not our points. They are double dipping by doing this, first charging us full price for less service, and then wanting us to donate our points. This just doesn't seem right.

by (1.3k points)
Oprah is a major share holder-all the news that’s out there & not 1 word about what she’s doing to help support people who are truly hurting. That said, I will donate only because I’m sure there are some that need this more than I do. It’s the right thing to do for our fellow citizens.

@dysentery8 Spirdione everyone is complaining because currently you can only donate your rewards to those in need.
