Hello all.  I joined tuesday.Hello all. I joined tuesday. My starting weight was 307. 6 (I know your only suppose to weight once a week but I weighed today and have lost 3 pounds so far ) I am loving this! I love being in control and keeping track of my own points! However I'm seeing a lot of people say the first week they lost 5 or more pounds, but then the second and third week so on and so on they have only lost 1-2 pounds! Why is this? Why so much the first week then only a pound or 2 the following weeks? I have a ton of weight to loose and I understand I didnt put the weight on overnight so I wont loose it overnight, but I am afraid of getting discouraged and giving up  I am currently not exercising at the moment. I hope to become lightly active next week and start slow, then work my way to the gym. Also does anyone have pcos? Is weight watchers helping? And my last question, I want to be done eating dinner by 630 and all snacks by 8, but I dont get in the bed until about midnight and feel like I am starving (which obviously I'm not) is there anything to help with cravings or something healthy but filling that's low on points that I can have for my 8 o'clock snack? Thank you all sooooo much ❤

Good luck with your journey! You got this! I enjoyed a Built Bar last night . helped with my cravings because it is 15 g of protein… I normally don’t eat after dinner but I was very hungry last night so I chose to have one of those… Good luck

2 lbs a week is a good weight loss. i do not eat anything after 7pm. my stomach will be growling so loudly but i feel like that is when i am burning off my fat. i also changed my thyroid medicine to at night because i have to take it on an empty stomach so i do not eat anything.

Welcome first of all! People often lose more in their first week because of “water weight” and also you’re changing the way you eat so your body is responding. 1-2 pounds a week is a healthy loss. a LOSS! @perviouson’t let that discourage you. You’re heading in the right direction! And as you said it didn’t come on all at once and it won’t come off all at once. And that’s a good thing! It won’t be a quick fix and like any program it’s one you have to be willing to work for. As it’s not what program works for you it’s what program you’re willing to work for. But you’re doing it! ♥️♥️ I personally don’t put a restriction on when I start / stop eating, it feels like a rule to me and I’m a rule breaker haha! But after I’ve eaten dinner if I’m starving I’ll have some nonfat Greek yogurt sweetened with stevia and extract and some fruit.  zero points and filling!  you’ve got this!

Hang in there. I was careless and stopped going to WW. I joined WW and made goal in 1982. Since then, I have lost and gained too many times where I would stop going to WW. I have lost over 500 pounds where I would get to goal stop paying attention and gain 100 plus each time. I am currently working at getting back to goal. Luckily this time I started back before I gained the 100 plus. I do the online and track everything including 0 points food. It’s a struggle, but this morning I shocked myself. I lost 3 pound this week.

I too made goal but in 1964 am back at it and have 10 lbs to go to get to goal Best plan there is because it has stood the test of time Not a diet but a way of life @perviousiets deprive you With WW you can eat ANYTHING you want but not all at once, Once you reach goal you should keep going to meetings to give back what you have recieved SUPPORT. Wont cost anything$$$$$$ and you wont gain back the weight Now i'll get off my soap box

@ceruse I agree. It is the best plan for losing weight. My only concern is cost. That is why I do the online now.

@yatzeck once you loose the weight no cost My cost is on my credit card just part of the monthly bills and IM WORTH IT.
by (19.7k points)
@ceruse I understand, but when you go two pounds over goal you have to pay.

@yatzeck only have to weigh in once a month so keep track and weigh in at the right time. You realy dont want to gain the weight back and you wont if you are commited to being your best self I know you can do it if i can IM89yrs old and want to fit in my coffen when i go not stuffed in

Green tea is also good for appetite control. You could Sip on that in the late evening. It’s low in caffeine.

@geiger warm lemon tea gets me through evenings without snacking!

If I really need a late night snack then I eat a couple of slices of deli turkey or some air popped popcorn. However, I drink a large mug of herbal tea first. that usually solves the problem because I'm not really hungry, just thirsty.

Good luck! You started, and that's the best thing you could do for yourself. @perviouson't think of it as just 1-2 lbs a week that you'll lose (which by the way doctors advise is the best way to lose weight and keep it off). Think of it as 52 to 104 lbs in one year! And don't think of the "ton" of weight you want to lose. I take it all in little increments. I needed to lose the first ten pounds which I've done. Now I'm concentrating on the next ten. When I'm starving, I drink something . water or sugar free iced tea, with plenty of ice. if that doesn't work, I look at my low and no points list. I almost always end up with some kind of sliced vegetable like cucumbers or pea pods with salsa or hummus. the chewing helps and satisfies the hunger. Remember, you can do this :)

I like yogurt as a late night snack. Light n fit has many flavors and is only two points. Or I’ll do some nonfat Greek yogurt with defrosted berries and a little bit of cinnamon cereal on top for crunch. Good luck!

Welcome, it is consider healthy to only lose . 5 to 2 pounds a week. A lot of people lose more the first week due to water. With that said us bigger girls might continue seeing bigger weight loss for a little while. With PCOS that might make it a little harder but still can be done.

A change in diet usually means that you will lose a lot of water weight the first week. It's pretty normal, although not everyone has big losses the first week. That just means they weren't holding a lot of water. We all lose at different rates for different reasons: age, current weight, activity levels, genetics, our bodies muscle to fat ratios, kinds of foods we eat and drink, etc.
