Needing advice.  I joined WW on December 31st.Needing advice. I joined WW on December 31st. I lost 13. 4 pounds in 3 weeks. I was very excited! Last week I gained a pound. Not sure why but moving on. I switched my plan from purple to blue hoping it would get me over that hump. Nothing has changed. I have stopped losing. I walk at least a mile 5 times per week. I drink half my body weight in ounces of water every day. I track everything, even zero foods. I do take medicine that could complicate weight loss but it didn't bother me the first 3 weeks. Anyone else had this problem? What did you do to get over it? Update: I have switched back to purple. Was only on blue 2 days so no big deal. I have taken my measurements so I can watch that. I have looked at 2 websites to see how much water I should be drinking and both say I am on target with my water intake. I do eat a lot of the same foods just to get comfortable in the program. Now that I feel like I understand this new program, I will introduce new foods. ( I lost 60 pounds on weight watchers 20 years ago. ) I am 45 and understand that my hormones will play a part. I was worried about that from the beginning because I have trouble with my hormones anyway. I feel better since starting to walk and clothes are looser. Will follow all advice I can and will let you know. Thanks for all the help!

You need to remember that your weight can fluctuate between 1-5 pound every day. The only way to get an idea of your actual weight is to weigh yourself at the same time first thing every morning for a week, add it up and divide it by 7

Remember our bodies are very complex. Especially, for women and it changes specifically with age. Hormones play a key role in everything. Unfortunately, we can’t control them as easily as our diet, exercise, etc. Sometimes we can do everything right and still fight hormones with their own agenda. Stay with it, just don’t ever give up on you.

Don’t be so quick to switch plans. 3 weeks is not enough time (in my opinion) to judge a plan. Give it time. Don’t rely on only the scale to gadge your success. Judge you success by how you feel, how your clothes fit and your measurements. This is about being healthier, the scale doesn’t always follow the same schedule. Follow the plan, be patient and results will follow.

Some weeks you won't lose, if you look at my weight loss history it looks like a rollercoaster. Some weeks I'm up, especially when I'm going to get my period. But I've stuck with it and am down 80 pounds. Just keep doing what you're doing and I'll come off. And if you want to change anything change up your routine. Your body gets used to the same exercise routine and food. Sometimes you need to shake it up.

Is week 4 the one that you’re either ovulating or menstruating on? This can have a huge effect on it all. Plus you’ve lost A LOT of weight in 3 weeks’ time, your body will start to slow down in weight loss naturally as it grows accustomed to your new eating style. I would look more towards a loss of 1-2lbs a week and sometimes there are plateaus where you may just need to switch up WHAT you’re eating if you’ve previously been very repetitive.

We tend to eat the same things over and over. I think the body gets used to it. Try changing up what you eat. Also try tracking actual calories for a little while. While there are zero point foods, they still contain calories. With those zero point food sometimes we're taking in more calories than we realize.

Weight will go up and down for no reason. It’s just a fact of life and it happens to me all the time. You just have to continue the journey and move on it’s gonna happen again and again

I was stuck for months at the same weight. Then I went clothes shopping & discovered I went from 2x to 14w. Sometimes it’s not the scale that moves but your body changes. Don’t give up.

Once a month I have a small gain around my cycle and a week where nothing really happens. Keep at it. Are you eating all of your weeklies and dailies?

I noticed when I changed up the foods I was eating, I would lose again. And occasionally I would “cheat” and go over my points, then would go back on and whoop, back to losing again. The body is a strange machine.

Plateaus are an annoying part of the process. Persevere! They do end.

I would focus on staying consistent and taking measurements. If the scale doesn't want to budge, you can see the fat/inches lost with measuring. Make sure you are getting enough protein and some good fat each day. It will eventually move.

Keep going! Just don’t stop! I think like someone else said that zero point foods can catch up with you. Like eggs. After I have 3, I count 2 points.

Change up your foods. If your eating the same thing over and over your body will get use to it. Also I’ve found eating a larger meal at the beginning of my week to use some weekly points would jump start my body back into losing too. Can also track your calories for a week to make sure your eating enough calories or vice versa. Also watch sodium content on pre package items. That will result in a gain from water retention  al in all you will have ups and downs through the journey. Sounds like your doing great so far!

Change up your foods. I was eating eggs every day for breakfast. The scale was not moving. I am switching up now. It made a difference. Awhile back I had a burger. low and behold I lost 3 lbs the next day? I’ll take it.
