Whatever fits your food preferences. I like blue for slow and steady. For me right combo of zero point foods and points for all the extras. Kinda the in between plan. Good luck. WW provides guidance for your choice and makes their best guess for you based on your responses

Everyone is different. Take the quiz. Blue works best for me.

@gann where do you find the quiz?
by (4.3k points)
@gann / when you join, it takes you through the quiz.
by (1.9k points)
@daw8488, as @frighten2928 said, when you join, there is an assessment and a recommendation by WW.

I'm on Green just started on Monday. Loving it for accountability. I told myself I'll try the green for two weeks if I hate it I'll go to blue. So far loving green.

My husband and I purple but I lost 60lbs with the blue. Until you learn to track your food choices I would go with green or blue

If you like potatoes, brown rice and pasta, go purple, they are 0

I was paired with blue, but green fit my needs better for I’m enjoy beef, cheese, and full fat dairy. I have less zero point food choices, but more points to have the foods I eat more of.

The best part about WW is that all the plans are awesome. Depending on your lifestyle and how you eat, there is a plan that will be best for you specifically.

Tried them all when I went back to blue. All of them work and it depends if you like to eat a lot to go on green
by (3.5k points)
@windowlight just playing devils advocate here , I personally didn’t find Green good for “ eating a lot “ as you say . I just left green as I was always hungry , I’m blue now and so happy about it . ( and not hungry ) You just have to be mindful of how much 0 points your eating .

I recommend starting with Blue, the middle of the road. Once you are more familiar with the plan as a whole, you can switch if you want to adjust your tracking, 0 point foods etc. Blue is the plan we were losing on before we had the new options. It works well for, me, and I figure, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Best wishes on your journey.

Whichever one fits you psychologically and your lifestyle. If you need more structure and accountability, green might be good. If you are good about portion control and not overeating zero foods, blue or purple might be a better fit.

Purple works well for me, beans of all kinds, baked potato, air popped popcorn, sweet potato, brown rice all zero point foods. Fits my food preferences very well.

@leath58270 , but aren't the points really low?

I started weight watchers exactly one year ago today For the 10th time. I have been on the same plan the whole time. Blue. It works great. You just have to change your mindset no matter which plan you are on. That’s the whole thing. It is not a diet. I just changed my portion sizes. That’s it. Nothing else has changed and I am doing great.

It is different for all of us. Pick one and try it for 2 weeks. If you like it stay if not try another. Green has 30 base points and 100 zero points foods. Chicken and eggs aren't zero points on Green. Blue has 23 base points and 200 zero point foods. Chicken and eggs are zero points on blue. Purple has 16 base points and 300 zero point foods. Chicken and eggs are zero points, as well as some whole grains and other healthy whole foods. You can change your plan option by clicking on your profile, then settings, the food settings. The most important thing to remember is zero points does not mean zero calories. You need to be mindful of portions. A food scale can be your best friend.

Thanks everyone, it all sounds pretty confusing to me. I have done Weight Watchers and I was a leader, years ago, but all these plans you describe sound like WW is a "full time job". Will there be anytime to do anything else other than working on your WW plan and guidelines. Not sure I want to sign up.
by (2.4k points)
Cathy, it becomes simple once you focus just on your plan.
by (38.9k points)
@teratism, with the app and all the other tools and resources, it's actually much easier and less time consuming now than it was in the past. You don't have to know all 3 plans, just the one you're doing. The basics are the same: make wise food choices measure portions and track), move more when you can, drink your water.
by (900 points)
@teratism It is a learning curve at first and then becomes second nature. Best decision I have made. No regrets at all. I love it.
by (28k points)
@teratism it takes some work in the beginning as any lifestyle change does. But if you’ve done WW before, you’ll not have a tough time adjusting. Don’t let it deter you from giving it a go.

When you join, there'll be an assessment and WW will rccomend a color for you. BUT. take a little time to look at all 3 plans and honestly consider your eating style (what's realisitc, not what you wish it was)

They all are good. You just need to follow the one you pick closely. It's not the plan it's the person who does the work.

The app is what makes it so much easier now. Before you buy/eat something you can scan it and maybe choose something else if it's too much or know you'll need to save points if you really want it.

Take the test on line and try the one suggested for you. Give it a good month and if you think a different plan might fit your life style better, switch:) all colors are good, you just need to find which one works with the way you live:)

Don’t stress over . They are all designed for loss. The plan choice really isn’t about food - you can eat anything on all plans in balance. The choice of plan is about Mindset. The one that fits your lifestyle is the right choice. That’s the one you will stick with and see long term results  Has the most daily points but fewer zero point foods  7 fewer dailies than Green but lean proteins (chicken/turkey breast, eggs, fish, beans, nonfat plain yogurt) and corn & peas are all zero points  7 fewer dailies than Blue but potatoes and some whole grain foods are zero points Fruits and non starchy vegetables are zero points on all plans

You should take the quiz when you sign up online- every plan is different and works for each person differently. The quiz will match you to your best plan for your taste and preferences- the best thing you can do is be honest when you take it. Don’t give an answer you think someone wants to hear- this is for YOU

It depends on your food preferences, you will do a survey at the beginning

You will LOVE IT! I am a lifetime & I am on purple because the zero point foods are what I eat & you don’t have to count them BUT - You DO have to use portion control. Look the plans over, choose one & if you give it two weeks & it doesn’t fit your lifestyle you can change to another. Best wishes!
