No because I still work and I have a sit down job. My fit bit will tell me if I haven't reached 250 steps an hour and there's many hours where I can't hit the 250.

You might like this for your sit down job

@eddins6719 , Try prayer first. Asking God for strength and motivation. Then think about the reasons you started the program. Partnering up or talking to like-minded people has helped me to stay focused.

by (1.8k points)
@unwatched I am moving a lot which In turn is not making the scale move so it’s discouraging but I’m not going to stop exercising because it makes me feel good

Yes. Walking 4-6 miles a day + basement "gym" 3 days a week. Portion control - I decided so much is out of my control but what I put in my mouth wasn't. Still have treat meal once a week to support local restaurants.
by (18.1k points)
@warfare7 , that’s sooo awesome  and I agree.
by (1.3k points)
@unwatched - thanks. The walking is key because that was the first "self-care" step I took.

Working out yes because I have much more time. Eating has been so so. Motivation is really rough with that. Working on it each day
by (18.1k points)
@trilby92300 , Awesome I love how you mentioned “Working on It. ” Not giving up is key. I’ve found being in this group and speaking with other women whom are on the same path helps with the motivation piece.

by (18.1k points)
@ungotten , you’re eating healthy so that’s good. Taking small steps to add workouts in now will be easier. You got this

Yes, I have gotten into a better exercise routine and being able to cook healthy choices 100% of the time has made it easier. I work at a restaurant and obviously I’m not working right now but it helps not to be around the unhealthy choices, although I’d rather be working but I think once I go back it will be easy for me to continue staying on track, I hope

Unfortunately no
by (18.1k points)
@tighe1 Kaye , understandable, maybe try small steps first. In my mind I think  I wanna come out of this better than before. I wanna do things I couldn’t do before. So inorder to accomplish that I have to do xyz. Mindset and surrounding myself around like-minded individuals has helped greatly. We’re in communication via text daily all day. lol
by (4.8k points)
@unwatched thanks; I haven’t really been eating too badly as I took some weight off, which I am hoping to keep most of it off. My appetite has been on and off so I am not eating normally right now; hopefully my routine will become more normal when life does. As long as I don’t start gaining, I will eventually get back to my normal. Thanks.

by (18.1k points)

Still struggling with online/tech issues of working online: longer working hours for me
by (18.1k points)
@tailorbird , totally understandable. Work can get in the way of progress. Especially when there’s tech issues. I didn’t start my lifestyle change until I got settled into my new job. It was just too difficult and much stress from my previous jobs to even focus on me

Exercise yes, eating no!
by (18.1k points)
@ulysses8837 Neukum Polinsky , honesty I love it  That was the first step i had to do with myself before I could make a change for the best. Take small steps like toss out any food that doesn’t mean you any good. Try meal prep, water, green tea for appetite curving and I found going to bed early helps too. The longer a person stays up at night there’s more chance of eating wrong foods or eating late then going to bed. Lastly but not least pray asking for help, strength and guidance

@bysshe Braden Yost , you will get where you need to be. Maybe a partner can help.
