I cancelled my membership when I had to go into self isolation due to having MS. Also my group went into virtual class and this wasn’t my cup of tea. Not sure I’d I’m regretting it now as I’m slowly putting the weight back on. What should I do? Do I rejoin? My motivation is hopeless

I’d rejoin. Sounds like you need support and encouragement, which the meetings will help you with.

You can rejoin £3 for 3 months which should see you through lockdown - that’s classes and online together  I did it last week.

Absolutely! The virtual meetings are helpful and it’s nice seeing familiar faces. I’ve even visited other locations as we are all facing the same challenges. Welcome back to the family!

Definitely rejoin! The virtual meetings aren’t 100% perfect, but connect is great and you also have an opportunity to try different meetings in different areas - Maybe you can find a virtual workshop that works for you and make some new friends in another area/state than you live in!

I say go for it! Motivation is fleeting, unfortunately you have to form habits that will see you thru until motivation comes back! I read a quote that basically said that time is passing whether you make the change or not. Do you want to look at yourself in 3 months and think “wow, I’ve come so far” or “wow, i should have started 3 months ago”

I would call it check. They may not charge for meetings now. would not hurt to ask especially with your condition. My godson dad also has ms. Best wishes and good luck with ww

If you worked the program before you know what to do. Just get out paper and pencil and track it. If you don’t know points remember the healthy options you use to eat. Good luck

Rejoin and give the zoom meetings a chance. Open yourself up to others and it will come back and help you . If you stop it could be trouble. Keep fighting !
by (6.7k points)
@methadone7 do I have to pay for the zoom meetings right now if I’m totally online?
by (8.1k points)
@destructible no charge for zoom .
by (8.1k points)
Just download the app for ur phone or computer . Your leader should be able to help
by (6.7k points)
@methadone7 oh good. How do I sign up?
by (8.1k points)
@destructible just google zoom and follow instructions or on ur phone download the app. Do u want to join a specific meeting? My leader Sally King-Long does a couple of meetings. I have added her here so she can give you the times and passcode . I do the Saturday at 10 and it’s great

@methadone7 I’m going to give it a try and save this message. Thanks so much!

You can join any Zoom meeting anywhere ~ I wasn't into it at first, but this weekend I finally settled in. I tried different locations. We had members from different parts of the USA dialing in. I'd rejoin. Remember the reason you joined to begin with probably had something to do with needing support and accountability.

Do you need weight watchers.? Yes! You started it you saw a loss and you will continue to have losses once your mindset is better! The coronavirus fear is taking over you and you need to win at your own game instead of his!
by (3.5k points)
If you can’t join right now because of finances then grab your booklets read the materials up your vitamin D , greens n orange as you know supports your immune system for MS. You got this!

If you join you will probably lose weight. If you do not join you will continue on your same path. I personally enjoy the at home meetings. It is still my same wonderful group of people with some people dropping in from all over the country.

Yes rejoin. When you have lost the weight and feel strong and look great, this little lapse will just be a blip on the radar, and you'll be so glad you came back. You can do this!

Yes! WW worked for you and now you know what happens when you don't have your membership. You can do as many virtual workshops, in as many locations as you want (and like most things, they have been better as everyone has time to learn and tweak) There's currently an awesome virtual app acadment. You have the online tools and resources; the tracking accountability (food, activity, weight) will help you re-establish those healthy habits and routines

I’m the workshop group right now but am changing to online. About half the price! Can’t handle the $45 a month fee. Plus haven’t listened but 15 lbs since July 2019!

The accountability is priceless. I still do virtual meetings same time, same leader, some of the same members. And weighing in each week. That is what is helping me keep the weight off! You can do it!

I weigh myself everyday so I am aware and can consciously make a change in my eating habits. That and come here for encouragement from others success.
by (1k points)
@driscoll that sounds like a good idea x
by (2.1k points)
@iy4 it can be upsetting at times but it keeps me going. This stay at home stuff is making it harder but I'm still working it "one day at a time"

You are not alone. We are all struggling during these crazy times. Join on line only and attend meetings on line. Not the same as in person BUT does help me. I attend meetings all over when my time allows. Last week went to AZ meeting.

I would call and ask if you can reactivate instead of rejoining. Not sure if its possible but worth a try. The reason is the data will start with your old account

@neurasthenia87243 agree . Just tell them it was in error. Honestly they shouldn’t even be charging right now

I'm telling g myself today is my first day of WW. Also telling myself I will see my group in two weeks (Which is also not true) to motivate myself and center. I know how important it is to keep the weight off but I needed jarring, a hard push if you will. That feeling of starting over is so important & invigorating like tulips blooming

I switched to online and like it! Will probably return to meetings after this is over, whenever that will be. I would call the WW number and inquire about discounts.

You know the point value of foods and how many points you are allowed. Do it the old fashioned way with pen and paper. Do it on your own but stay in group. Then when things get back to normal you can rejoin if you wish but do't use that as an excuse to gain your weight you lost.

Have you tried iTrackBites? I am using the free version and walking everyday. Down 20 lbs since the beginning of March. You can do this without having to pay.
by (200 points)
@telethon Hi, I tried to download ITrackBites and could not get it to work. The company sent me a welcome email and when I clicked on “Get Started” nothing happened?
by (5.7k points)
@telethon I am using I track bites also . Do you mind me asking what plan you are following?
by (410 points)
@footgear the sugar one. Matches closet to green I believe. How about you?
by (410 points)
@choli maybe try again. Sounds like something went wrong.

@telethon I am doing Carb Conscious that one is closest to the old WW points plus . Just getting started again .

Don’t give up. I canceled too. I like my in person meetings. I’ve put a few pounds back on and have gotten out of my exercise routine also. This group and their kind words help. We have all worked to hard to give up now. Take things one day at a time, good luck

Yes, rejoin, do the best you can until your meetings start up again and keep tracking. I was thinking of quitting for now too but then thought maybe not, I may not rejoin if I give it up now. I haven’t lost anything since starting back in March, I did gain 2 pounds over this past weekend though  ugh. I suck.
