Before these 3 plans came out, what was the name of the plan right before this. that many people weren’t fond of? Here’s the big question: What was the plan BEFORE that one and what color is it similar to? THATS the one I did best on and trying to figure out. Question condensed: what are the names of the last two plans before the 3 color plans?

Freestyle(blue)was the plan before colors. Beyond the scale (green)was before that. Before that was points plus.

The last one was blue and before that it was completely different but I think most similar to green.

Thank you so much! I need to look at what the breakdown is for green. Weight flew off me on that one!

Same for me, just switched back to green yesterday!

@palimpsest Here’s the basics:  only fruits and non starchy vegetables are zero, but you get the most daily points  fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins are zero (beans, lentils, chicken breast, all fish and seafood, eggs, fat free Greek yogurt. ) and you get fewer daily points  in addition to the above, some whole grains and starches are zero (potatoes and sweet potatoes, popcorn, oatmeal, brown rice, whole grain pasta), but you get the least daily points You can find more details on WW. com

This is great! It’s probably all really the same in the end, it’s just a matter more of how people are accountable. Will stay in Purple for now because that’s where the computer put me. But If I stall, will switch to green. Thank you!

@reagent I have always done well on WW. Not sure why I ever think to stray and try anything different. My family even says: You always lose when doing WW. Do it!

@teryn seeing this what is the difference does say green hold you more accountable or maybe age or? Why does the system pick the color it does for you? Im green in 3rd week

Green is similar to the plan a couple of years ago. It seems that if you cook and use a big variety of foods it works the best. I'm not a big protein eater so I struggled and went off the wagon when they changed the plan. I am back and on my 4th week on green, back down to where I was when I quit.

I have and still do better on green. Accountable for everything I eat. Fruit and non starchy vegetables are zero points.

Are use the plan that’s 30 years old

@teraterai Any WW plan works if we follow it.

@banting679 The older plans are easier to follow

Bringing inspiration from this successful but difficult to sustain diet, the original Weight Watchers was based around lean meat, fish, skim milk, and fruits and vegetables, and it banned alcohol, sweets, and fatty foods. It was based on an exchange program

I THINK THE OLD WEIGHT WATCHERS EXCHANGE PROGRAM 1980S/1990 (QUICK SUCCESS) WAS BETTER THAN POINTS

@teraterai, I have to respectfully disagree. For the majority of people, especially younger people, they want variety and the ability to eat a treat every once in a while. That's why WW is constantly changing it's plans, to accommodate the majority of people. I'm glad old school WW is working for you, but I don't think it's better than the points system.

@excurved22034 it is based on how you answer the questions in the assessment.

The “standard” plan before the three was Freestyle  The plan before that was Beyond the Scale  There was also a Simply Filling Option  Don’t stress over . They are all designed for loss. The plan choice really isn’t about food - you can eat anything on all plans in balance. The choice of plan is about Mindset. The one that fits your lifestyle is the right choice. That’s the one you will stick with and see long term results  Has the most daily points but fewer zero point foods  7 fewer dailies than Green but lean proteins (chicken/turkey breast, eggs, fish, beans, nonfat plain yogurt) and corn & peas are all zero points  7 fewer dailies than Blue but potatoes and some whole grain foods are zero points Fruits and non starchy vegetables are zero points on all plans I think you have seen from the comments, there are still people that plans from years and years ago. Those ones are very different and not supported by the app.
