Hi!  So, I am on the hunt for a new bicycle.Hi! So, I am on the hunt for a new bicycle. It can be a cruiser or something better but looking for sturdy. I feel so top heavy on the damn seats. Do y’all have one that you love?

It is work the money to get a good shifting system. Shimano 105. You won’t get discouraged even if you say I won’t use the gears. Yes you will

I have a Schwinn suburban which is a hybrid bike (street/off road) and it is great love how light it is (aluminum frame) very comfortable for multi mile rides—it has the Shimano shifting

I was just googling this last night. Crazy! Ok, biker girls. I’m a bike dummy but need to upgrade from my basic cruiser. Tell me about the gears. Is it hard to learn how to use them? I just need a little more help on the hills than my cruiser can give. Also need a seat for a girl with a bootyGuess I could order that. Mainly need to know about gear stuff. Thx

I’m an avid biker. I would highly recommend checking out the used bikes at your local bike shop. You can get better quality bikes for a great price. They can also make sure it fits your body.

@lanthanum4 gears are very important. Think of it as gears in your car. You need lower gears to go up hills. Higher gears to go faster. Shimano is the brand you need. The bike will have two shifter. The one the left makes big changes and the one on the right makes little changes. When you change them is makes it easier or harder to pedal. You want it to be easier to pedal when you are going up.

Electra - the Townie Original. I love it. It has "flat foot technology" which basically means you can touch the ground anytime. I have bad balance so this is really excellent.
