Best answer
I put the single serving in a bowl, stops me from eating too many

@somewhat , not if you go get more

@glance oh that’s a no no
by (10.1k points)
@somewhat , sometimes a no no becomes a yes yes when you're addicted to food. I trust myself not one little bit. ☮

Throughout the day. Make individual snack bags and you can have as many as you chose from that bag, throughout the day.

You can have a lot of snacks around that same point level, not just veggie straws. My favorite are ritz crisp & thins. You don’t get as many but you still get over 20 something for that., I always try to eat half of a serving of anything snack related at a time . I also eat baked chips , & 7 Pringle’s are 2 points. To me, that’s plenty with a sandwich or something.

My problem is when I buy a whole bag of something I eat the whole bag, I can’t stop at one serving
by (690 points)
@marsala me too, so that's why I bag up my servings into Ziploc baggies, to try and help stave off the temptation to eat the whole bag lol
by (10k points)
I spend more but buy single serving packs of almost everything! I can overeat while bagging it up from a big bag and I can overeat something that doesn't taste great so I have found my only answer is to buy it small packs.

@moloch89683 That’s what I do too

Don't these contain a lot of sodium? And do the veggie straws really count as a veggie? Or, is it a marketing thing?
by (7.1k points)
@reconnoitre No you don’t count those as a veggie. You count those as the value when you scan

You can space them out. Look into them tho, it’s deceiving calling them “veggie’ straws. Very little actual vegetable left and what is left has very little nutritional value. I think they’ve don’t a great job marketing these as healthy and vegetable when they aren’t so healthy. Not saying not to eat them, eat anything you choose, just don’t be fooled. Good luck.

@concave I funny think anyone is fooled by processed foods. While they're not healthy, they may need healthier than some other processed foods. It's about making better choices than we used to make, I think.

That is the same food, in my opinion. Neither is good, for me, that is. See how politically correct I am?

Baked Lay's potato chips are 4 its for a lunch sized bag. The baked cheetos are good also. They have half of the fat.

Gerber lil Crunchies are great! The flavor isn't as strong as adult chips but you can have 16 for 1 pt. and they satisfy my need for chips. They are like Cheetos.

You count the portion for the day when ever you eat it. I use premier protein for coffee count the whole carton the day I open it and use over several days you can do that with you snacks as long as you count them in the same week

Wow, I am still not much of a chip person, maybe the homemade chicken and rice soup I made yesterday and the tomato noodle soup I made yesterday could be topped with a few of them as crumbles since I have no salt it the house except household bleach!
