Some people can’t tolerate artificial sweeteners and some can. I think it’s like anything else, nothing is 100% good or bad for you if it’s man made ♀️

Yeah they are bad! There are some alternatives that look to be better, like monk fruit as a sweetener. But pre-packaged sugar free usually uses bad things such as Splenda or sucralose or aspartame

no because there is always data and a professional out there to support the opposite position. You already have your mind set. There are things better for you I’ll agree but many people use these products and have no problems. I don’t think all doctors even agree on this 100%. If people have questions they should consult their doctor.

Yes they are bad for you. If it is made in a plant or lab it's not healthy. If grows from a plant or a pasture raised animal, it's healthy. That's my guideline anyway.

You can't always count on that because most plants are sprayed with chemicals & it depends on how the meat has been processed to stay fresh from the pasture to the grocery store

I agree no problem with Splenda but I can't use the products with aspartame which is in most soda drinks & flavored waters. messes big time with my stomach. My doctor has no problem with me using Splenda as long as it is in moderation

Moore So much of the sugar-free items contain Sorbitol. It does a trip on my intestines. I can’t eat it at all. I use some SF things (creamer) but always check for that ingredient.

Moore I have IBS. But I have discovered a prescription that REALLY helps. I’m 73 and have had IBS since I was nine. I got these pills about three or four years ago. Total life changer. If you want to know about it , I’ll PM you.

I have the blue packet of sugar substitute in my coffee every day. I got a scoop of Sugar-Free Baskin Robbins ice cream and had awful tummy troubles. almost didn’t make it home!

Were all different . I’m diabetic and quite thankful for some of the wonderful products we have today. In my mothers time, it was sweet 10 or sweeten low and those are both horrid so we’ve come along way if you don’t like them you could try more natural things like Monk fruit

, yes! All chemicals/sweeteners are not equal. Malitol kills my stomach - horrible gas pains. Does the same to my friend. Therefore, cannot eat Fiber One bars but can eat the Fiber One Cake bars.

It depends on the individual. I have been using sweet N low and equal for over 40 years with no problems. I switched to stevia about 3 years ago. Still prefer the other two.

Many artificial sweeteners are said to cause a glycemic system response from your body. That glycemic response can cause some individuals to lose weight more slowly. Basically that means your body reacts to it just like sugar .

Things with sucralose are. you just have to check the ingredients and research them. when looking at food labels look for anything worth 5 grams of sugar or less. the body does not process this amount of sugar into fat it just goes straight through the lower in sugar the better but also the more natural the better . the body has a hard time digesting fake sugars and chemicals

Yes. Fat is often a substitute or that poison oxytol (sp? ) which gives you the runs! Often in sugar free peanut butter, which is poison for dogs! Time to do some Googling!

I don’t think they are bad for you unless you have problems with them - ie, stomach issues. Fermented artificial sweeteners (sorbitol) give me gas so I avoid them but live on sweet & low. Whatever works best for you.

Yes. As a matter of fact, they do NOT help with weight loss. Check what Aspartame, Saccharine, etc do to your body. Some new sweeteners have come out -Stevia, Monkfruit- I don't know what their impacts are but at lead they aren't chemicals.
