I’m on the purple plan and doing well. Although it’s hard to believe potatoes are okay. What do you all eat when you have a sweet tooth, other than fruit?

Apple nachos: 1 sliced apple drizzled with Smuckers sugar free caramel, Hershey sugar free chocolate syrup, and fat free reddi whip. 1 point and so delicious. Sometimes I will crumble 1 pizzelle on top for a little extra crunch. That adds another point.
by (6.7k points)
Are the Smuckers and Hershey sugar free stuff zero point?
by (7.6k points)
@unbar396 the smuckers is 1 point. That is the only point in the whole thing unless you add the pizzelle.
by (6.7k points)
@adrenalin78730 Wagner Thanks! Pizzelles hanging around not safe with me!
by (7.6k points)
@unbar396 I have done surprisingly well with them. I use them sparingly. I also use them in place of Graham crackers when making Smores.
by (21.9k points)
@adrenalin78730 Wagner love them - I put Lite Cool Whip between two pizzelles & freeze for a really low point “ice cream sandwich”!

Even though they’re free it’s all in moderation. Like no one should have five potatoes a day. But if you have it here in there and you’re eating low calories a day it should be fine.
by (21.9k points)
@race608 zero point not free - that makes you stop & remember it’s STILL portion controlled - free sounds like all you want. Just a helpful mind game that keeps me honest

Sometimes I plug my food diary into MyFitnessPal to make sure I’m not overdoing it. Most of the time I’m around 1400-1500 calories if I’m sticking to one serving of a starch per meal. Everything in moderation! I like chocolate hummus with my fruit daily

@kmeson I finally tried them but I think I wasted $10 - tried two but didn’t like either one.

Lois, I am a long time consumer of protein bars and all are a little different. They are what they are. relatively healthy snacks that stave off hunger for me. I don’t think any are delicious like a desert, but I do think the nutrition and texture/flavor of BuiltBars and Quest are far superior to others.

by (17k points)
@serapis Huh? Ok.

@poulenc93 Blue gives me 7 more points. I track all of the purple foods to keep track of how many blue points I'm actually eating.

I am on purple, I have 16 points. I save those points for healthy fats, bread, and dessert. My dessert of choice is Edy's no sugar added ice cream. It comes in many flavors so I do not get bored. Sometimes I take the vanilla and create my own flavor like cinnamon or cardamom. I also like healthy choice no sugar added fudge bars. My day looks like this Healthy breakfast 2-3 points Zero point morning fruit snack Healthy lunch 0-5 points Zero point healthy lunch snack Healthy dinner however many points is left over. Dessert 4-5 points If I want a bigger portion of dinner, I may forgo the dessert. I track my dessert first thing in the morning and work my day around it. Knowing I have ice cream at the end of the day helps me make better choices during the day. On purple you have so many delicious and satisfying zero point foods that you will never be hungry. You do have to remember that zero points does not mean zero calories. You still need to be mindful of portions. Here is why a measured, not friend potato is zero points. On blue you were allowed 23 points, on purple 16, the difference between the two is the points price difference of a potato.

@salespeople, do you get weeklies on the purple plan? If so, how many? I’m on blue and was considering going to purple.
by (53.1k points)
@ablepsia6 I get 42 weeklies currently. As I lose weight I expect I will get less. I try to stay in a range of 5 below and 5 above my dailies. So some days I dip in and some days I don't. When a holiday or other food event is coming I save them for that day.
by (53.1k points)
@ablepsia6 I did blue and like it. I joined purple to so I would eat more good food and less treats.
by (2.1k points)
Thank you Caroline. I am having success on blue. I was considering purple so I would have more options for zero point foods.

I like instant pudding, fat free and sugar free. I mix a whole box with 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk or unsweetened vanilla almond and cashew milk combined, and dip fruit in it. Not using cow’s milk means you must half the amount of the nut milk.
