Any ideas why my two ingredient dough bagels didn't rise? I did use 2% Fage Greek yogurt instead of the fat free. I also used a stand mixer with a dough hook. Did I mix too much or not enough?

Self rising flour and baking powder

@kingpin791 self rising does not need baking powder. It will if all purpose flour.

Original recipe? From what source? My original recipe does not call for baking powder as it is already in the self-rising flour.

@endo mine did the same thing recently. My self rising flour was past its due date, so I think that is why my didn’t get good results

If your flour is old the levaning might not work as well. just a thought.

I don’t put in quite as much yogurt as it calls for I usually us 3/4 of a cup. Not sure if that helps or not. Maybe just mix it by hand.

They look more like Bialies than Bagels. Did you use "self rising" flour ?
