I am struggling really hard with accepting the scale recently. I have always been a part of weight watchers prolly 8 years so for a while I just did things on my own. Recently though I have been seeing the scale go up so I decided to go back to tracking everything buying the weight watchers app and working out almost everyday ! However weight watchers has placed my in purple I have tracked for three weeks straight and the scale has continued to go up! I don’t know what I am doing wrong and how to fix the scale but it’s very upsetting  any tips or tricks on what I could be doing ?!

Look at those rings Get it girl! Sorry you’re at a plateau. I have no advice cause I just started today. But I had to comment about those rings lol

I just started several weeks ago and was placed into purple as well. The first week went well but the weeks following I'm right back to where I started even though more days then not I'm right on point! I've also been doing some pretty intense weight lifting tat may be affecting the scale, but I decided last night to switch to Green thinking that I may be eating too many free foods. I'm going to try it for a couple weeks to see if it's any different.

Switch to green? ‍♀️

Maybe switch plans. I’m on blue and when I’m on track I’m losing, slowly, but losing. Down 20 pounds in 4 months.

I am on blue as well and have lost 13 lbs in 4 weeks and have fallen off the wagon a few times.

Switch plans or if you're at a plateau try intermittent fasting, I find when I'm working out I have to eat all my fitpoints or I go into "starvation mode" and don't lose. Try out a variety of things, what works for others may not be the key for your body♡♡
by (11.7k points)
@tunic we do need to eat more when working out a lot or our body may go into survival mode. I chose to eat my weeklies however. To me, if I eat up my FitPoints it’s defeating the purpose of all that work. No expert though. But have lost consistently since January and down 32 lbs.

Maybe try to switch plans and increase water intake. I’m at a plateau right now, so I switched plans and have been trying to intake more water. Only switched 2 days ago, so I’m not expecting to see results yet. Giving the new plan (blue to green) 3 weeks

You have the option of switching to blue or green! Try it for 2 or 3 weeks to see if that helps! I like blue and have lost almost every week since Dec 31. Don’t give up, you will find the right balance!

I’m having the same issues. I’ve been working out like crazy. and I’m not seeing results on the scale. I do notice that I’m stronger, and that feels really good! So I’m not getting on the scale for awhile. I’m going to continue to track and workout. My muscles are growing for sure. and that could be why. #keepatit

Little bit off topic. Where do you go on your app to see the full month like you are showing? It's awesome.
by (3.9k points)
@repeat that the Activities app that goes with Apple Watch. Not a WW item.
by (7.5k points)
@lundquist5624 ah. Ok. It looks great!
by (3.9k points)
@repeat I gotta say getting my Apple Watch last December has really helped motivate me. It give you awards & reminders which help me a lot.

@lundquist5624 I just have my fitbit! I love have some notifications but nothing like this!

You may be eating too many carbs. I could never do ones with free carbs cause I would overeat. I’m on green. Only fruits and non starch veggies are free.

Maybe try not snacking between meals (if you do) to reduce the times your insulin spikes during the day and stop eating at a certain time of the day. Eat all your calories/points in your 3 meals. I find I start losing when I stop eating earlier in the evening - like 7pm. Easier said than done, I know.

What is your activity set too?! If you don’t mind me asking
by (2.5k points)
@peppery ok similar to mine. Mines like 540. Kudos to you and keeping up with it.
by (290 points)
@noncombatant6472 lol I honestly didn’t even know you could change it
by (2.5k points)

The app set mine but I meet it after 3 days. I think I should change it. I have 15000 steps daily no problem.

You can switch plans. I’ve been very successful on blue. Lost 15. 3 since last week of February, haven’t gained once but haven’t always lost as much as I’d like at times but A loss is a loss. Good luck!

I could never do carbs for free, I absolutely do not trust myself with that. You may be eating too much of your zero point foods. Or, if you’re overly cautious and you CAN trust yourself with carbs, for the amount you workout you may not be eating enough
by (1.2k points)
I’m on blue and just reached 40. 8lbs lost this morning. And we get veggies, fruits and lean proteins for free.

Purple does not have enough structure for me. Try Green. You’re more accountable thru tracking your SP.
by (6.5k points)
@hypsometer6 i did good on that for a while but then started going up and down. I think the prob for me on green is I eat more snacks. Still in points but worse choices. With purple I measure out all my serving sizes and have less points for they snacks so far working for me it’s a mind game. I think I am out of points so don’t need those diet chips lol

Weigh and measure your 0 point foods and stay within the the serving size. Just because foods are 0 points doesn't mean you can have unlimited amounts.

I find it’s very easy to overdo it on purple. Maybe try green for a week and see if you notice a difference. It’s still about calories in vs calories out in the end but your body will react differently to 23 points of protein fruit/veggies than to 23 points of processed food

I had to switch to green. I need maximum accountability!

It could be the portion sizes if ur on purple I find u really have to be careful about how much ‘free’ items U are having

by (6.5k points)
I was on green and find I eat better and less on purple because I think I’m always out of points lol but I measure out all my one servings of what I eat from free items to make sure the calories do not add up

Portion control on free zero point foods maybe?

You can switch to another plan. I don't know how many zero points you may be eating but you still have to watch how much you eat. They still have calories. I know for me if I don't exercise it doesn't take long for the pounds to creep up on me. I'm on blue. Hang in there, you'll do it!

Im doing blue, but I track calories in my fitbit app so I don’t overdue it with zero foods.

Be sure to eat fruits and veggies.

You don’t have to stay on purple. Its just a suggestion based on your answers but ultimately it’s up to you. As for me, I chose blue and it’s working.
