I work out every day. For me, it’s a total package - put healthy food in my body and strengthen my body. I can’t do one without the other and be successful.

Two 1 hour Pilates classes a week and 1 1/2 hrs walking on the Treadmill 5 to 6 times a week. I find the treadmill so boring so I read my Kindle while I'm on there. It usually helps when I'm tempted to really fall off the plan when I think about the time I spent on the TM.

I have been going to the gym every day and in the last two weeks I have averaged almost 16, 000 steps per day. BTW I’m 80 years old and just started exercising after having both knees replaced in 2017. It has really helped take the weight off faster. Ive lost 83# with WW and have about 29#’s to go.

I’m a walker. Currently I’m in a Step Bet and have to get between 10, 800 and 12, 500 daily. At least once a day I do a 2-mile walk at home with Leslie Sansone, it’s more strenuous than just walking.

@surcease2724 is this an app?

@surcease2724 thanks for the info I’m going to try her . Sometimes it’s just too cold to go out

@incomplete65 No Leslie has a lot of DVDs for walking at home. Back when I lost my original 178 lbs. in 2009-11, I submitted my story on her website and they sent me a box of her DVDs. They do advertise “Exercise TV” which back then was available on demand. Don’t know if that exists anymore?
by (9.2k points)
@incomplete65 if you have access to YouTube, the workouts are available there for free.

Yoga! Doing recumbent bike since I have plantar faciatitis so cant do any pounding on the feet. Did RPM today.
by (110 points)
@danella Cyr Phelps I had plantar fasciitis and along with tendonitis and 2 heels spurs all at the same time and on one foot! It's been a year and I'm walking all the time 15, 000 steps a day ! I got a pair of ASIC runners with excellent arch support. go into any sporting store and let them know the problem you have with your feet. I promise you the right shoes makes such a difference  Asics all the way. best of luck!
by (6.9k points)
Yikes, you really had it rough. I am so glad that you are doing well now. Thanks for the shoe tip, my doctor wants me to go to a shoe store that specializes in foot problems and get some running shoes as well as inserts. I have worn Asic's in the past, maybe I will try them on again. I never feel like I ever have any arch support in any of the runners I get. I have a pair of Oofos recovery shoes, they have been a Godsend! I have a pair of flip flops by them as well. Awesome support! Not for running or walking, but I wear them everyday. Even the spin class bothered me yesterday, so I will be doing the recumbent bike and swimming until this gets better. So frustrating.

I know people that don't need to exercise. I am not one of them. I have chosen exercises that I will be able to do anywhere and no matter how old I am. Walking, Small hand weights, exercise bike, dancing, cardio-drumming from YouTube videos. I would like to start yoga for strength and flexibility. But I feel the need to be able to get up off the floor without hoisting myself up on the couch like I am climbing Mount Everest. Although, if I start yoga is probably the best way to do that! Wow I just had an epiphany and will be starting yoga in April after I have my turn miniscus in my knee fixed. I chose 3 "easy" types of exercise Strength, cardio, and flexibility. I rarely watch tv but if there is something I really want to do, I march or ride the exercise bike in front of the tv. Everything I chose is easy and effective. Plus I can switch when I am bored

I do a 45 minute Leslie Sansone YouTube walking/workout at 5am, and another in the evening. Weekends 45 minute walk, weather permitting to replace one of the workouts. I’m going to start adding Really old school YouTube 08 minute arms, 08 minute legs, and one more, can’t think of which other one it was. In one or two months I will start my old step workouts to replace one of the Leslie Sansone ones.

I workout 5-6 times a week. I alternate running with strength training.
by (6.7k points)
@fibroin Did you find your weight loss was slower due to the strength training because you were building muscle?
by (1.1k points)
I have nothing to compare with but this is how I last all my extra pounds and built muscles at the same time.

I have been on this program for 4 days. I have lost 4 pounds and will start exercising soon. I am getting used to food, 0 point foods, portions and although I don’t expect to lose this quickly, I believe in slow and steady. I am 66, recovering from a stroke, and ready to get back to feeling like a woman again!

I try to fit in a yoga class, cardio dance class or at minimum 20 minute walk on the treadmill or outside 3-4 days a week. I work full-time and have two kids so I can’t possibly devote hours a day at the gym. I’ll be honest, I really don’t like working out so I think I’d be miserable if I spent any more time there than I already do LOL!
