I’m struggling so badly since this whole pandemic started. I work at a grade school, and the school has been closed for two months, and I’ve been home since then. I do yoga in the morning by watching videos on YouTube and walk almost every evening however I get bored during the day and start eating. I always say I’m going to start over and restart trying to get back on track, but I always seem to go off track. Any advice on how to get back on track?

I’ve been successful with packing my lunch still while working from home to prevent snacking. And staying out of the kitchen.

Go to an online meeting, helps me. Luckily they are at all times of day, friends have even gone to meetings in California and Hawaii. Check connect for a meeting!

In the same boat. When it's nice, I take my kids outside to walk. I also do a workout video in the afternoon. The afternoon also stretches on and on, and I want to nibble. I have been trying to stick with veggies and light popcorn but it's a struggle.

I really miss the meetings. It is so much harder to do with all stress these days.

I had a similar post earlier this week. I’m struggling too, and so are many of us. Give yourself grace but then just get back up and try and again the next day. Good luck!

Me to! Start with one meal at a time, then one day at a time. Try to keep on a Schedule/routine like you did when you were working . Believe in yourself!

I have found myself wearing comfy yoga pants too often. they are so "forgiving" when you overeat. I put on a pair of jeans yesterday and the fact that they were WAY tighter than before this pandemic scared the crap out of me. I decided right then that I can't use this pandemic or anything else as an excuse. I figure I have two choices. 1. ) Get serious and strict with myself 2. ) Eat whatever I want and feel fat and lazy and beat myself up and be miserable. I'm choosing choice #1

Have you tried the built bars? They have helped me. I don’t binge eat or crave chocolate as long as I have them in the house.

Two suggestions - 1) food proof your home. Toss out crap and only zero point snacks or veggies. Embrace where and what your are suggling with vs blame yourself for giving in. Set yourself up for success. 2) change the habit - make "board time" in the afternoon task time -. Clean out your closet, install new shower head, tackle that ugly everything drawer, air out camp gear, oil the bicycle chain and check the air. Busy hands can't eat, and you will feel better having accomplished something.

@valenta409 it's hard when everyone in your house buys and eats whatever they want.  This has been a real struggle for me being in quarantine with my family.

@warfourd54 I hear you, and even if you can purge your favourites is a start. mine is peanut butter. Also try "everyone else's snacks" all go in one cuboard /place with a door (out if sight). Since I refuse to buy that stuff, so if they do then I don't know what is in there. I always got cut veggies & fruit front and center in the fridge! Hopefully with the above and changing the snack habit with busy hands will help.

I'm right there with you. It's a struggle for sure, I didn't eat carbs before the Corona Virus. Now I eat some kinda carb every day. It's definitely adding up. I want to stop eating all carbs but it's really hard  everyone is different . I know what makes me gain weight. It's carbs. I need to change up something.
